Jennie's POV

I knew something was off when Lisa and Chaeyoung cancelled on us. The whole 'We have other plans' excuse is complete and utter bullshit. They can't fool me. And so, I remain suspicious as Jisoo texted me to wear something nice.

Maybe she's taking me out?

Maybe she had something else planned that involved only the two of us?

If so, I'd be glad the other two decided to cancel on us.

Knowing Jisoo, Christmas wouldn't pass by without something special happening and I found myself grinning as I stare at myself in the mirror.

The 'something nice' I decided to wear was a knee length, fitted, red sleeved dress and a simple necklace she had given me on our tenth monthsary. I put on some heels that matched the color of my earrings and applied matte lipstick as well as some blush.

I laid back on the couch as I wait for Jisoo's call that signalled her arrival.

I'm at my parent's house today, two hundred miles away from my dorm. My mom was generous enough to let Jisoo, Lisa, and Chae stay for the rest of the break and I couldn't be more thankful.

It was two hours since Lisa and Chae left for a date, and three hours since Jisoo told me she had to go somewhere else.

My parents were out grocery shopping for tonight's dinner and so, I was alone.

I tapped my feet on the tiled floor and checked the time. 6:37 PM. She's seven minutes late and I try not to grumble out loud.

I was about to call her when the doorbell rang. I grabbed my purse and skipped towards the door.

Behind it stood Jisoo. The beautiful, beautiful Jisoo. The perfectly perfect Jisoo.

She was wearing a blue, v-neck pantsuit and a matching blue heels. Her hair was in light waves and her lips was painted red.

I cleared my throat as my eyes pull away from her body and into her eyes. "You're late."

"And you're gorgeous." She smiled sheepishly, placing a chaste kiss on my cheek.

I broke into a smile. "You're forgiven."

"Come on, we can't miss another minute." She hurriedly grabbed my arm and we rushed to the Audi parked on the driveway.

"I rented this for the night," Jisoo said with a smirk, leading me to the passenger's seat.

"Are you cold?" she asked as she entered the driver's seat with me beside her.

"No," I shook my head but she must have sensed the shiver from my breath because she removed her blazer and wrapped it around my shoulder.

She leaned in and whispered. "You're a terrible liar, babe."

The whole drive consisted of the normally abnormal atmosphere between us. She turned up some music and we sang along in complete chaos, mostly because none of us knew the lyrics.

She laughed and I laughed. I looked at her and she was smiling. And that made me smile because I just realized 'Wow, I love this girl so much' and she returned my gaze and let out a witty remark, saying 'Like the view?'.
