AUGUST 1980

You were working as KISS' wardrobe supervisor. Every costume and pair of boots were in your hands. Peter had just left the group, and now a new drummer was in town. His name? Paul Caravello. Adorable? Yes. So yeah. You liked him and you haven't formally met yet. But people who work together can't go out with each other anyway, right? "Oh Y/N!" Paul called out to you as he came closer. "Y/N, this is Paul Caravello. Our new drummer." You acted a bit surprised, but you knew. "Well, we are going to call him Eric Carr, though. That's his new stage name." Paul informed you and you shook Eric's hand. "You must be Y/N." He replied as he shook your hand.

"H-How did you know?" You asked and he let out a small laugh. "Paul was just yelling it as we came over here." "Oh.. yeah." was all you could say, as you began to blush, feeling embarrassed. "We need a persona for Eric." Paul said, and Gene and Ace came in. "Have you had any ideas yet?" You asked and they talked for a bit.

"A Hawk, maybe?" Gene said, shrugging his shoulders.

"Now what would that look like?" You sat down at a table and grabbed a piece of paper, as you began to sketch out what his costume and makeup would look like. You felt a pair of eyes staring at you, so you looked up slowly and carefully and saw Eric watching you work. He turned away quickly when you caught him looking, and he began to blush a little.

After hours of trying to brainstorming, you took Eric's measurements and came up with a few things for the hawk idea with extras you had around. Eric put it on and then cringed. "Ooh.. Bad idea. Let's try another idea." Eric took the makeup and costume off.

"Hey! What about A fox?" Eric suggested and he sat next to you. "Sounds interesting... tell me more." You said, and he described to you what he had in mind, and you sketched it out. The boys went home after, but You stayed and started making the outfits and costume of whatever you had left from Peter's clothes and a few extra things.

The next morning, the boys came in and you were sound asleep on your desk. Gene woke you up. "Y/N? You worked on this all night?" He asked you as you sat up. Your hair was a mess, and so was your makeup from yesterday. "Huh?.. Oh Yeah.." You said, groggily as you wiped your eyes. "The outfit is over there. You figure out the makeup and let me know. I'm going home." You took your stuff and said goodbye to them before heading home.

After a few days, you didn't hear much from the boys, and you also developed a cold. Paul called you twice to check up on you. He wouldn't tell you how Eric's makeup and outfit was though. "We'll be on 'Kids Are People Too" tomorrow. We're introducing Eric then, and you'll see." He hung up and you sneezed as your wiped your nose in anticipation.

The next day finally arrived, and you tuned into the show. "Please give a big hand for The Fox, Eric Carr!" Everyone started clapping and cheering as Eric made his way to the stage; explosions going off as well.

(4:50. You're welcome)

Your eyes widened in shock. "Wow.. he looks amazing!" You said out loud to yourself. You noticed his bare chest, and you stared at it everytime they showed him on camera. You didn't have enough words to even describe how good he looked.

"So what do you think girls? Is he a fox or what?" Ace said, and everyone started cheering, and you laughed. "Hell yeah he is." The phone began to ring and you answered it. "Hello?" You both said, noticing that it was Eric.

"Did you watch it? Did you watch?" He asked excitedly.

"Yeah, I'm watching it now."

"What do you think?"

"You look amazing, Eric! I really love that outfit on you!"

"And it's all thanks to you! If we weren't on the phone right now, I'd give you a big hug!" He said, and happiness was dripping from his tone. He was genuinely happy to be in the group now, and it made you smile.

"Hey, Y/N, I normally wouldn't do this, but all the adrenaline from being on TV is getting to me. But maybe you'd like to go out sometime? With me of course." He chuckled nervously, and all of a sudden, your dog knocked over your medication.

"Oh no!" You said, then realized what it sounded like. "Oh... okay.. I'm sorry for asking...." You heard him mumble "what a shmuck" before hanging up. You never felt so horrible in your life. You began to clean up the mess your dog made and sighed. You had to go pick up some more medicine, but right after you clear things up with Eric.

You called him back after you got ready to go out, and he answered with a huge sniffle. "H-Hello?" You could tell he had been crying. "Eric, are you crying?" He recognized your voice and took a deep breath.

"Uh no.. what's up?" He said, trying to cover his voice up with a more cheerful tone, but you could still hear the pain in his voice.

"I didn't mean to say no earlier. It's just my dog knocked over my medication for my cold and I scolded him. That wasn't directed to you. I'm so sorry."

"So you're not rejecting me?" He asked, his tine already changing.

"No I'm not. As a matter of fact, I'm going to go pick up some more medicine for my cold. Maybe you could meet me at the pharmacy, then we could grab a bite to eat?" You suggested, and you heard bed sheets ruffling, and him moving around. "Uh alright! Sure!" He said, already out of breath. You knew he was trying to hurry to you.

You told him where to meet you and after you picked up your meds, he met you outside the pharmacy. "Thanks for... for... not rejecting me. I-I r-really l-like you..." He said, with no confidence. "I like you too, Eric..." He looked at you and smiled widely. "Really?" You decided to have a little fun and you planted a kiss on his lips. "Yes, really."
