   "hey (y/n)." johnny says as he slides into the seat next to you.
   "hey, johnny. what's up?" you say as you smile. you and johnny had been best friends since kindergarten. even though he could be a bully sometimes, you could always count on him to make your day.
   "well, in case you forgot," johnny starts, "it's my birthday this weekend. i'm having a pool party at the club. can you make it?"
   "yep. ali's going, right?" you ask as a blish spreads over johnny's face. he nods slowly.
   "my mom's making me invite everybody, even that dork, daniel larusso." he says with a sneer.
    your heart flutters. you've had a crush on daniel for the longest time. "daniel's not that bad, johnny. i sit next to him in trigonometry, and he's actually pretty nice. not to mention cute..." you whisper.
    johnny's eyes widen. "don't tell me you have a crush on daniel?" he exclaims.
   "so what if i do?" you scoff.
    johnny snickers. "your loss, (y/n). your loss." he says as he ruffles your hair.
