I sat on the bathroom floor. My razor blade was covered in blood. Damn,I thought,not again. I had had another episode. This one was the worst one yet.
"Ryn,"Hayes' voice startled me. I thought I was alone."Can I come in?"
He opened the door and stared.Tears welled up in his eyes. He had only seen me like this once...
"You promised you'd stopped,"He said. God. He made me regret what I had done this.
"Don't tellANYONE!I'm getting better.I promise!"I tell him. I can tell he doesn't believe me.
"Yeah,right!I'm getting Ricky..."He stormed off. I hated disappointing him. He's my best friend.
A few seconds later I heard footsteps coming up the stairs. I could the guys talking from here.
"Really.Again?"Ricky said.
"Yea,"Hayes said.
"Oh my God"Kian said.
"You guys stay here.I'm going in."Ricky said. No one argued we had some weird, deep brother sister relationship.bEvery one knew only he could help me.
Ricky was in the doorway. He sighed and sat on the floor. He looked me in the eyes and said" Why?".
It was such a simple question but why did it have such a confusing answer. I shook my head.Tears were starting to roll down my cheeks.
"Did someone say something"He asked. I nod my head know that if I try to talk I'll cry."Was it about last summer."he says. I just start crying .He wraps his arms around me.
A few minutes later the whole gang is hugging me. They all try to help me but a Hayes won't let him because he's an "expert".
He takes off his shirt and binds the wound. Then he helps me up to take me downstairs.
When we get downstairs Hayes helps me get on the counter,Ricky gets the firstaid-kit, Kian gets the pain medication,and JC gets a banana for some unknown reason.
Hayes peels of the shirt that has stopped the bleeding and starts to apply bandages to the wound.
The other boys leave.
"Please. I'm begging you. Don't do this to yourself. You don't need to listen to them."He pleads. All he wants is for me to understand but I don't. How is he not affected by the hate?
"I'm trying. I really am better. I just...slipped up."I say
"Yeah. Well last time you 'slipped up' you almost died."He says.Harsh,
When he's done he help me off the counter.He stares at me for a second. Then he grabs me by the waist and kisses me.
