You smashed at the glass canopy on the sinking Spitfire. The pilot was thrashing around inside the cockpit as you did so. The water was cold, colder than ice. You finally broke the glass with the oar and grabbed the pilot's hand. He was quite handsome...
His face contorted at seeing a female saving him from drowning. You pulled him up to the surface and gasped for air, he started coughing
"Nice job Y/N!" Peter called
"Get them out of the water, they'll freeze" Mr. Dawson told Peter roughly
Peter reached out to grab your hand but you gestured for the pilot to go first. He pulled the RAF into the boat, then you
"Thank you" the pilot smiled the best he could with all the shock. You thought he was so good looking
"You're welcome, I'm Y/N L/N" you outstretched your hand for a shake as Peter threw a towel on you
"Jack Collins" he shook it gently
Maybe it was worth getting to know him better...
