"I guess my mum forgot to send my allowance thos month again" I face palmed and looked at my phone.
"Rukayyah you still know you owe me debts"my roommate said
"Don't worry about that I would pay you back soon hopefully"I whispered the last part
"Why not look for a job?"she suggested
"I would think about that and I got my school fees on me too"I told her while i picked my backpack and went out of the room.
I had rent to pay and some money to pay back to my roommate and my school fees was due. My life did turn upside my mum wasn't even trying to care like she always did I thought while leaning at the lamp post.
My freshers year was one in a hell ride started from racism then this year was assault, I face palmed then sighed.
"Rukayyah Rukayyah" I heard Ayyub call my name then stopped to catch some breathe
"Hey Rukayyah are you good?"
"Well I am"I confidently lied to him
"You dont have to lie alright, I know something is up plus you look terrible"
"Ayyub we would talk later I got a class" I quickly walked to my class
After the lecture I couldn't go back to my place and I need some sleep because I have been having a terrible headache which I guess i grew up with but I remember how my aunt once pushed me to the wall and I bled.
I couldn't get through all this pain everything In my life was making me hopeless.
I started drifting into sleep and it came over me but didn't know someone was actually watching me.
After a good nap I walked down the pavement while looking at it,Ayyub hled my shoulder from behind which made me flinch.
"You have to stop that please" I told him when I turned
"What's wrong with you?"
"Nothing"
"Come on,am your best friend"
"Didn't know when that happened?"
"Come on now tell me now"
"Like I said nothing"
"Rukayyah it's obvious and you look famished"
"Ayyub thank you for your concern but I cant go on like this...i think am going to dropout"
"What!"he exclaimed
"Excuse me" I ran off to somewhere my legs couldn't take me
I saw a flyer on the ground then wiped my tears to read them. It was a job vacancy at the Harris enterprise, maybe I should apply.
When I got back to my place I prayed and sat down to write an application.

The next morning after school I went to submit my application.
"Wow" I awed when I saw the place as i came out of the taxi.
"Good morning miss" the receptionist said "how may help you?"
"I came to submit a job application"
"Well there's no vacancy but I guess I would hold on to your resume and see what I can do"
"Thank you"I gave her a straight smile
And I walked towards but hit a strong wall which wasn't actually a wall then closed my face with both hands "Am so sorry" I whispered "I didn't mean to do that"
