Almost Killing Seto

It was dark. Probably very late at night, but Mary couldn't sleep. Her eyes scanned the pages of her book, as she restlessly tossed in her bed. She had to find out what happened next, surely the hero would survive?

She just had to know!

And then it happened. Mary was shocked at the ending. It was nothing like she expected at all. Then again, that was a reason she loved her books. Then Mary slowly gazed at the clock. It was almost two in the morning...

With a sigh, she put down her book and turned off the lamp. It was time to go to sleep now, even though she had stayed up this late to wait for Seto...

Just then, a loud thump came from the door. It was as if someone had just broke in, but only Seto had the key. Could someone have hurt him to take it?

But Mary was too scared to go and check the door. What if it was a murderer?

Or something worse?!

She whimpered thinking about it.

The noise of someone approaching came closer. At these noises, Mary moved her hand out of the bed covers to retrieve the book she was reading. Maybe she would hit the intruder - show them a thing or two.

But before she could step out of bed, the intruder went through her door. Mary froze, squeezing her eyes shut and hoping that wasn't a murderer/rapist/horrible person. She could only hope...

"Mary...~"

Before she could register who the voice belonged to, Mary shot up and threw the book at the intruder, making a high-pitched squealing noise as she did so.

"AGH! Mary! It's me, Seto!"

"Huh? Seto...-kun...?" Mary turned on the lamp beside her and was shocked to see that it was indeed, Seto. The one she had been waiting for since around tea time. He was finally home.

Seto nodded at Mary, "That's me."

Mary instantly shot out of bed and ran to hug Seto, almost knocking the male over in the process. Seto smiled at Mary and pet her head gently, whispering that he was home now and would be for quite some time.

And that was the tale of how Mary almost killed Seto with a book.
