6:30am

As soon as I stepped out the car, the scent of fresh pine swirled into my nose, confirming that I was in fact on William Levy's High School premises. I dragged my feet to the entrance and tried to mentally prepare myself for the day I was about to have.
I headed straight for my locker to take out my necessary books for the classes I had today and automatically headed straight for class.
Although it was the first day of school, the day where everyone gathers in the hallways to talk about their summers, it was personally not my things simply because I had zero friends, by choice of course. I just didn't have the energy to become friends with people who didn't intend to stay.
I sat in my usual seat in my biology class and scrolled through my social media as I waited for 8:30am to roll around as I was two hours early for class.
Before I knew it 2 hours passed and I was greeted my familiar faces and a noisy classroom. It begins.

"Good morning class, we have a new student this morning, Mr. Adam Young, please treat him nicely. You can have a seat next to Ms. Williams". "Okay class, Molecules is our topic for the day, read chapter 25 and we will discuss after"

I got right to it  although I read the chapter before hand in the summer vacation, wouldn't hurt to read it again. As I read I felt eyes forcing a whole through my face and as I looked to my left, my eyes meet green ones paired to this tall, brown skinned being. Boy was he fine.
"Can I help you?" I asked

" Would you mine sharing with me today, Ms. Williams was it, I forgot my book" he said with his pearly white smile.

"Call me Lena and sure don't make it a habit though" . I was not so interested in interaction especially with someone who looked like they could care less about assignments given them for a particular deadline.

"Will do".

"Why are you so fine". I thought.

"I'm not sure it just happened I guess, puberty isn't a joke though".

I stared at him for a few seconds trying to comprehend what he was talking about until I realized i asked the question out loud.

" I am so sorry" I repeatedly apologized.

" it's all good" he chuckled. " I was wondering the same about you" he said as he winked.

This day gonna me long. I thought.

3 hours later

Bell rings

Why they put subjects like biology for four full periods will always be a mystery to me but I wasn't mad it was my favorite class.
I made my way out of the class first to cut down on the traffic I was about to meet up on in the cafeteria. I got my sandwich and fruit from Rhonda like I usually did and made my way to my tree that I sat by religiously at any free period I had. It made me feel sane. Although I was there alone, I enjoyed my own company.

The smell of sweet cologne filled my nose while I was reading my biology notes. I didn't have to look up to see that it was Adam.

"Why're out here alone Williams" he asked.

"Because I like being alone Young. Don't you have other people to be with?"

"Actually, I do but I saw you down here and just wanted to know why because nobody else seems to know" he said.

"It's just always been like that. Me and the whole 'friends' or 'best friend' thing doesn't work out so well".

" Well that'll change from today, because I'll be eating with you everyday" he insisted as he pulled out his sandwich from his bag.

"Ummm, okay" I said not wanting him to feel u wanted or anything even if he was in a sense.

Before I could continue reading through my notes he asked "so why science, why not business or history".

"Why not science, it's interesting, it shows to some extent how things work and for an inquisitive person like myself I think it fits perfectly with my personality" I replied.

"Good point, but have you tried anything else"

" I tried it all, business was good while it lasted but I couldn't keep up because it was getting pretty boring and repetitive. Why did you chose biology"

" It was the only other class I guess I could've attempted at in the line up, everything else seemed like a snooze fest" he answered.

"Wow so you—" I started

"But" he interjected "I always liked it when I was in lower school so why not" he shrugged.

Bell rings

"Well this was nice while it lasted, what class do you have now?" He asked.

"Chemistry followed by English" I responded.

" Then we will be seeing each other all day it seems" he said as he winked and walked ahead of me to catch up with his friends.

Wow he was annoying already.
