The losers and I were currently seated on a few rocks which bill had planted In his back yard with his little brother, Georgie a few years back. It was shaded by a few large trees and a small table to hold beverages near it. We occasionally made small conversation, but we were all very bored, and it showed.

"I'm bored. Let's do something fun," Richie jumped up, grabbing everyone's attention. "L-lets go down t-to the b-barrens," bill suggested, looking up at richie. "No way. Do you know what could be down there? What we could catch!" I tried to reason, finding richie's suggestion insane. "Oh c'mon eds, I'll protect you," Richie bowed, I felt my face heat up a little at richie's promise.

"Stan?" I needed backup on this, and I had the feeling he was going to be of good help. "Sorry, I'm with them on this one, and plus, richie will protect you." Stan grinned at me. "Fine, fine but if my mom fins out-" "we're d-dead w-we know, Eddie." Bill finished my sentence, "allons y losers!" Richie marched, pointing ahead of him as he started walking.

I let my head fall down, not caring about dodging plants anymore, seeing as I had passed most of the ones that could hit me. "Eddie-" "RiCH WATCH OUT!" One minute Richie was next to me, then next he was tumbling down the hill. It was dead silent, no one spoke, you could hear a cricket breathe. "R-Richie? You o-ok?" Bill called down to where Richie fell. "For the most part, my left wrist looks a little banged up,"

I swear, my heart stopped when Richie didn't answer straight away. "S-Stan go help h-him" bill shooed Stan away to go and help Richie. "We'll m-meet you two in th-the alley n-near the pharmacy," bill shouted down at the two, to which Stan replied with a thumbs up, and bill started to push me toward our bikes.

Bill must've noticed me go awfully quiet, he turned and looked at me, still slightly keeping an eye on the road in front of him. "I t-take it your w-worried about Richie?" I just nodded, to afraid to speak, "knew it. H-he'll be f-f-fine, trust me" he smiled at me, turning his attention back to the road.

We finally arrived, and I basically leaped off my bike to get to the pharmacy quicker. "E-Eddie, calm d-down," Bill spoke to me with sincerity, "sorry" I quietly apologized. "W-why are y-you S-so worried about Richie?" He asked me, turning me around, raising an eyebrow, "n-no reason," I stuttered out, "Hey s-stuttering is m-my thing," he laughed, I forced a laugh as well.

Stan soon arrived, smiling at me, a sympathetic smile at that. I studied his wrist, noticing cuts from trees still bleeding. "R-Richie you s-stay there, in the a-alley, w-we'll be back s-soon," Richie nodded, smiling at me, my face instantly turned a little red. Bill shoved Stan and I inside the pharmacy, the bell making a singing sound as we entered. "You know what to get, Eddie, you pick it out, and we'll pay for it." Stan ushered me into the medical isle. I instantly picked out the things I needed. "D-do we even h-have enough?" Bill asked, looking over Stan's shoulder at the few dollars and a button he had found in his pocket.

"Not nearly." Stan sighed, looking over at bill. A red haired girl came to the front of the isle. "B-Beverley," Bill stepped forward a bit. "Uh yeah," Beverly had her hand hidden behind her back, suspicious, "what're you doing?" She finally asked us. "Nothing-" "Richie fell down a hill, he hurt his wrist pretty bad but we don't have enough money" I cut Stan off, "I'll create a distraction, you go help your friend. She did just that, distracting the store clerk and stealing a pack of cigarettes.

"I'll try and clean him up. Stan you call his mom, and bill-" "you just stand there and look pretty bill." Richie laughed, interrupting me. "Th-that's pretty g-gay Richie," Bill laughed at richie, standing back slightly, leaving room for Eddie to do his thing.

Stan jogged back to where it was all going down. "Alright, I called his mom, she'll be here soon." Stan reported back, Richie just nodded. Clicking of heels became more apparent as richies mother approached them all, instantly gasping at her sons current state.

"Oh richie, what've you done now!" Mrs Tozier covered her mouth with her hand, walking into the alleyway in which they were all situated, "thank you, Stanley for calling me. Eddie and bill, thank you for helping him!" She smiled warmly at us, "it's really n-no problem m-Mrs T," bill patted Richie on the shoulder. She stood Richie up, gently placing her hand on his back and pushed Richie into her. "Don't go dying on me, yeah?" Richie just nodded, gladly accepting the side hug from his mother, waving goodbye to the other losers.
