That night when I escaped, I came home all drenched. Avery, my younger sister and Ivy's twin, had opened the door.

"Why are you so wet! What the hell happened dude?!" She was astonished.

Ivy came running. "What happened to you? Come in quick."

"Look," I stopped them. " For now, cover for me in front of our parents. Everything will make sense. I will tell you everything. Just let me rest." It felt great to be dramatic. At least I had a valid excuse.

And then I passed out.

ONE DAY LATER

I slept until afternoon the next day. It was noon when I woke up and my mom greeted me soon after in my bedroom.

"Hi mom." I groaned, sitting up straight in my bed.

"How you feeling?"

"Confused but at peace. Thanks for taking care of me!''

''Always, sweetheart. You should eat something. What do you want?"

"Can I just have hot chocolate for now? I'm not really hungry." I think I'd throw up if I ate right now.

"Yes,I'll ask Miso to make it." She was the house help.

"Ok. Are Avery and Ivy home?''

"They aren't. Avery left in the morning to go grape stomping but I think she will be back home for lunch. Ivy must be walking around in town searching for some inspiration for her music."

"I have work today, right? I was supposed to submit papers. I don't know what I'll say to the prince."

"Don't worry. You'll figure it out. Eat something and get changed. Then step out and go figure it out."

She left.

Yup. I've got a teal coloured tail. It's pretty cute. I can't walk around with a tail. But I get a tail when submerged with water. Not when on land.

I'm relieved, and scared.
