"O'death please spare me over another year..."
The yelling is what woke Callie up. She groaned at the thought of the camp being up so early when it felt like she got no sleep. Moving to roll over to tell them to keep it down, her eyes popped open at the feeling of weight on her. The sky above her was painted with deep reds and blues signaling the night coming, but that didn't explain the fact that she had dead weight on her.
Till she looked down and everything came rushing back to her.
Bellamy, the Grounders, the fight ...and Clarke shooting the rockets off. Grunting Callie shoved the dead Grounder off her body as she fought to stand up. Her head was killing her and when she pulled her hand away she noticed some blood. Finally able to stand up, Callie hissed at the pain that was in her leg and looked down and saw that she had a gash down her calf. Shaking her head, she lifted herself out of the foxhole that had protected her and started making her way back to camp. The voices could me the other 100 or more Grounders, either way the girl was ready.
Keeping her sword in her hand she kept her eyes open and looked around as the voices got closer. When they spoke again Callie was able to recognize one of them and her heart stopped.
"Dad!" She yelled limping towards the entrance to the camp. Coming up to the gate, she saw her dad standing there with a gun raised as well as a few others from the guard. "Dad!" She yelled again as she leaned against the gate. Marcus Kane's eyes widened as he took in the sight of his daughter. Her hair was blowing wild in the wind, clothes were torn and covered in blood that wasn't hers but she had the biggest smile on her face at the sight of her dad.
His face matched hers as he ran to take her into his arms. "Calliope, oh god. What happened?" He asked with worry in his voice as he checked her over. Looking down Marcus noticed her calf bleeding and got some cloth from his bag and had her sit while he wrapped the wound. Callie sighed at the weight that was starting to be lifted. Her dad was here...she didn't have to do this alone anymore.
"We tried so hard to make peace dad but we couldn't. They attacked and Clarke..." She said trailing off looking towards the ship. "Oh my god, everyone is in the drop ship. We have to get to them." She said standing up as she tried to take off.
"Cal, Cal stop. No one is there but Raven we already checked. Abby is with her now helping her." Marcus said looking at his daughter. His hand was on his shoulder stopping her from running forward.
"Then they were taken. Because when I was pushed into that foxhole they were safe." She said her eyes quickly scanning around. The pressure on her chest had returned and Callie was trying to hold it together. "Have you found anyone else?" She asked looking at her dad. Maybe there was some kind of hope left.
Marucus shook his head and sighed. "We have a few guards out looking but we haven't found anything yet." He said quietly.
Callie nodded as she looked away, hiding the tears that were threatening to spill. She didn't want her father seeing her break down, he saw that enough on the Ark. "Callie, we will find them. I promise." Marcus said putting an arm around his daughter and pulling her close. Callie nodded knowing he had no clue who the tears were really for.
The redhead just let her father hug her for a second before the other guards started yelling. "Hey! There's someone coming out of the tunnels." Callie looked over, her eyes filled with fear as she saw the movement. Her first thought was that the reapers had come back down to finish them off. She moved into an attack stance with her sword at her side, something her father didn't miss, and prepared to fight again.
