Perspective Changed: Shizuka Yugao
I finally returned home. After Kurou left, I went to my room and studied for a few minutes. I did not do much in my free time, all I did doing such time was to either study, train, or do chores. A moment had passed, and I realized that my father had returned from work.
"Hmm, he's a little early today..." I said to myself as I stated at my clock.
Next to my clock was a picture of my family, back when it was whole. My father, mother, and my elder brother were all standing by me, they were all smiling, me included. I reminisced the days when I was a child, when I was still ignorant of the how cruel the world could be. I remembered the days where I wished that everything would go back to the way it was. But I had already given up on that thought. Not after that incident 5 years ago. I quickly diverted my eyes away from the old family portrait and took step outside. I then walked down the corridor and approached my father's room.
"Father. May I come in?" I asked from the other side of the door.
"Yes, please enter." My father answered.
I slid the door open and entered the room. I closed the door behind me and took a seat near my father.
"I see that you're back. How was your mission?" My father asked with a smile on his face.
"It went well. Kurou-kun and I discovered who was responsible for the shadow energy residuals we discovered the other day. It was Kibishi Raidou. He has returned to Imuroda." I informed him.
"Raidou-chan? Haven't seen him for a while. I'm sure Tohru-san would look really unhappy when he finds out. Heheh..." My father joked.
"So, how is Narukami-kun?" My father asked.
"Kurou-kun is learning at an extraordinary rate. I admit that it is rather impressive that he could adapt to the sudden changes so quickly." I stated.
"Hmm, as I expected. I heard that Regila weapons have a will of their own, they pass down their knowledge over to the user, allowing them to become more skillful over time. Perhaps that is why Narukami-kun is learning so fast..." My father theorized.
"Maybe so... Ah yes, father. I want to ask you something...." I said to him.
"What is it?" My father asked as he drank his tea.
I thought carefully about my next sentence. Should I ask him? Or should I not? I thought to myself. After a brief moment, I decided to ask.
"Do you think I should start going to school."
" Pssshhhh!!! *cough*, *cough*."
My father sprayed bit of the tea out of his mouth and began coughing uncontrollably. It was a reaction I did not expect.
"Father. Are you alright?" I asked while patting his back.
"I'm fine. Sorry, just a little shocked..." My father apologized.
After he relaxed, he spoke to me again.
"It's a good idea. If you we're to enrol to Narukami's school, you can easily communicate to him. Plus, its good to have more friends, especially at your age. Okay, I'll send in a registration as soon as possible. Although, why do you want to go to school?" My father asked curiously.
"It... it seemed like fun..." I muttered anxiously,
My father simply smiled and said that it was alright. I bid farewell to my father an headed back to my room.
