7 YEARS LATER

"We are so gonna win today."

"Most definitely."

"The boys don't stand a chance."

As Fiona, Rani and Kalo walked into the studio with their bags, they found Adam, Dimitri and Twitch already inside, standing by the stereo. When they entered, they all turned and shot them a look.

Fiona instantly caught Adam's eyes and saw him grin.

Resisting a smile herself, Fiona reminded herself what they were here for today and soldiered up.

Last week, the boys had told them that out of the six of them, they were the best dancers. That they created better routines than the girls, and outraged, Kalo had challenged them to a dance-off; one week to prepare, losing team had to clean the DanceDec's studios for a whole month.

The boys had accepted, and today was finally the day where the dance-off was happening. So when Adam waved to Fiona, she had to remind herself that today, the boys were the enemies.

"Ladies," Kalo spoke to the boys and walked in, dumping her bag down. "Are you ready for this or nah?"

"Bring it," Dimitri countered, sending her a smirk. "Misters first." He gestured towards them, since Kalo had officially branded them as the girls.

"Fine," Kalo snorted, turning towards Fiona and Rani. "We ready?"

"Ready," Rani confidently agreed. Fiona nodded as well.

"Great. Bring in the judges then!"

Adam grinned, but then put his fingers in his mouth and whistles loudly. "Judges!"

And with that, a flood of other dancers, students and teachers came into the studio, gathering along the walls of the studio to take part in their dance-off. Now that they had their cheering audience and thus their judges, all that was left to do was turn on the music.

"Hit it!" Kalo shouted, just as Rani had run up to the stereo and plugged her phone in. She quickly ran back to Fiona and Kalo, who had both taken their place on the dance floor. They turned towards the boys who had all taken a seat in a chair, ready to watch them.

And then, the music hit them.

– The second the music started booming, Kalo, Rani and Fiona all moved in sync, turning around as the trumpet counted down the beat. Then, as the baseline of Ain't No Other Man hit, they all moved together.

The crowd around them broke into cheers, and even though Fiona was blushing her way through it all, she worked with the vibe the crowd was giving her and followed the steps, trying not to focus on the nerves that still bit her stomach every time she had to perform.

– But instead focused on the jungly eyes that was watching her.

As the beat switched, Fiona followed Rani and Kalo's lead and walked forward, hips swinging, before stopping up in front of the three boys that were watching them. Their eyes all followed when the girls sent them mischievous grins and continued to walk towards them.
