The Rose and the Armor

During the long process that leads me far away from my past

I met a rose that couldn't move on

Not that she was not daring but she had never thought about it

Forever holding the pose when eyes blemished her

She's got the color of love, even though I never saw it

Even though all flowers in daylight are to die

Then I decided a pause in my ride, and settled by her side

Since the rose seemed morose being lonely at the end of the day

My rose my rose my rose

Listen to my muttering

My rose my rose my rose

You may be sure

You will never again be left alone getting over the walls

There is enough space on my shoulder for a rose and its armor

Tracking the course of the sun with tired eyes

We told each other our stories of delight and tearful sadness

We had not much to do, so we lay down

With my rose I fought my urge to move on

But as in the morning the road called I offered her,

If she dared do me the honor, to move forward with me

Even if your armor is too heavy even though it has always protected you

Please know that life is deaf and may even be harmful to us

My rose my rose my rose

Listen to my muttering

My rose my rose my rose

You may be sure

You will never be left alone again getting over the walls

There is enough space on my shoulder for a rose and its armor

Going through the turmoil of life with my rose to my side

Living at all times on her sweetness and her beauty

I came across a filthy stream in which I saw

The reflection of a monster with deep wounds, a grieved and lost warrior

My rose, how could you suffer such an affront to your splendor?

And how could I ever forget the mistake I made

When I pulled you out of your garden, just because my heart was empty?

But she stops me and kisses me, my rose laughs and I cry

My rose my rose my rose

Listen to my muttering

My rose my rose my rose

I am sure now

I shall never again be left alone getting over the walls

There is enough space on my shoulder for a rose and its armor

My rose my rose my rose

How painful it is sometimes

My rose my rose my rose

Since the first days of my life

No one has been to my side to heal my wounds

Until the day when a rose landed on my armor
