A's POV
A stared at the giant gash across B's chest. It was bleeding out badly, but B stayed awake.

A tried hard not to break into tears and panic. They tried to hold it in.

"C-C'mon B, they're almost here, okay? Just w-wait a little longer." B nodded in response, but A scanned B each second with fear. B was getting paler by the second. All colours seemed to be lost to A.

A laid B across their lap, trembling with fear of losing the one person that cared enough. They chocked back tears. B used their energy to caress A's cheek and smile weakly.

"Promise me you'll go on without me," B said, clearly hurt even with the fake smile painted across their face. A stared into their eyes. Their cold, dull, eyes. A felt their throat hurt and let out a choked sob.

"D-Don't say that, B! They'll be here soon, please st-stay with me!" A pleaded. They felt it harder to breathe, tears blurring up their vision. A's heart was racing, pounding on their chest.

"It'll be alright, you'll be okay. I'm n-not making it, though." B protested, the sentence ended with a grunt of pain as tears rolling down their face. A's face scrunched up in anger and sadness.

"B, stop it! Stop it! It's not ending that way! No! You're going to live, I want you to be stronger. Stay around a little longer. Wait for them, they're coming, okay?" A gasped for air and let out sobs, tears escaping from their eyes and running down their face.

"It's okay, A. Don't be sad," B tried to comfort A. They weren't even worried for themselves.

No... How could I let this happen? It should've been me. B doesn't deserve this. You do. Damn it, it's all your fault. Why are you so stupid? Why didn't you help? Why are you so selfish? B wouldn't be in this situation if it weren't for you.

You caused it all.

This is your punishment.

"B-B..." A trailed off, not knowing how to express themselves. They stared at B's face, noticing B was struggling to keep their eyes open. "B, wait no- U-Uh.. R-Remember that time were you and I went to get ice cream? A-And once we got it, I was a-a nervous reck and spilt icecream all over m-myself? You d-decided to l-let me over your house to get cleaned up. A-and that other t-time-" A choked up and forgot to exhale. B kept looking at them.

"Y-Yeah... I remember. A, I will always be... R-Right here." B put their hand on A's pounding heart, more tears going down A's face. A tried to keep rambling stories of them together, but B hushed them.

"Right here. In y-your heart. Always."

"N-No..."

"I'm going to sleep. D-Don't wake me up at 5," B let out a strained laugh. That put more weight and pain onto A's chest.

"Love ya, A.."

"No.."

B's hand slowly slid off of A's chest. A grabbed B's cold hand.

"No...." A mumbled.

B's eyes closes slowly and his smile fades, leaving B's face pale, blank, dull, colourless, and lifelss.

No.

"B..?" A slightly shook B hoping they'd respond, but deep down they knew they'll never to see B's smile again. B walking along beside them. They'll never be able to make new memories together.

"No, nO! N-NO B, PLEASE WAKE UP! WAKE UP!" A yelled, shaking B more harshly.

It was no use.

B was gone.

Forever.

A brought B's body closer to them and hugged it, repeating one word.

No.

No.

"No, no, no. No..... N-N-No..."
