"Are you sure this is the place?" The little white tabby looked up. The ghostly shape was glittered with stars, their pelt dark tabby. They nodded softly, head down, and leaped into the air. They dove for the pool of water, disappearing in the reflection of the stars. A soft green leaf drifted down into the cave and landed in the water, rippling it from the center.
I trust you, she sighed, her eyes narrowed as she laid down, lapping at the coldness. It made her spine chilly and her nose burned before she was taken into a sleep.
She awakened just after, her paws settling into unfamiliar territory. Around her, a fire blazed, and she could feel it itching her pelt like a tick.
"Help!" Where was StarClan? This wasn't it!
"Listen closely!" A ginger tabby ran up to her, his pelt the color of then dancing flames. His tail grabbed hers and her bolted off. "Listen closely! What you see now is your future!"
"What! No! It can't be! Our clan still needs someplace to settle!" She notices the plateau the dark tabby had led her to before was ahead of her. They were going to the cave!
He shook his head. "Listen, Frostlily. Your nine lives are to be given to you very soon. But you cannot do that unless you find somewhere else to go! Your clan spirit burns with the intensity of the ocean waves, of the strongest winds and fastest rivers!"
Frostlily listened closely, her mind racing.
"But remember, all fire can be extinguished!"
Frostlily felt the smoke surround her and she was sucked back into the real world, coughing and spitting onto the floor of the cave.
"We must leave!"
