01: Modern World

A loud thud was heard when they landed on the grass.

"My back hurts..." Naomi whined, imitating an old voice. Nicole stifled her laugh, her fist covering her mouth. It reminded her a bit of their master.

Nostalgia hit her and a gloomy aura surrounded her.

Noticing this, Naomi smacked her head. Nicole clutched the bump that appeared. "I can't allow any pessimism. So cheer up." Naomi scolded, her hands on her hips. Offering her hand, Nicole stood up.

"Hm." Nicole nodded.

"Anyway, where are we?" Nicole wondered, looking around the forest. They were surely in a different place. The air feels different.

"No idea." The purplenette shrugged.

The ravenette started to explore the area with the purplenette trailing behind her. "Why're you relieved when Marian and Junco isn't here?" Naomi suddenly questioned.

"So they wouldn't get caught up in the trouble." Nicole answered simply. But this didn't satisfy Naomi's curiousness.

"Are you sure it's a right decision? You wouldn't get lonely, right? You're so close to them after all..." Naomi trailed off. Her voice lowered, and the ravenette's silence is sending her uneasiness. She stared at the mage for awhile then lowered her gaze to the ground. "Sorry, I shouldn't have asked."

"It's okay." Nicole reassured her. "I wouldn't get lonely. You're still here. And as you said earlier, you can't allow any pessimism. Why all be sad now, you hypocrite?" There was a hint of tease in her voice. Naomi giggled a bit.

"I'm hungry. Give me food." Naomi jokingly whined.

"Get your own." Nicole took a bite from an apple she got from who knows where. Naomi puffed her cheeks as she stopped. The ravenette glanced at her curiously.

"But you'll leave me."

"Woah, you're a mind reader now. Congratulations." Nicole lazily said, slowly clapping her hands.

"Somehow, that's really annoying."

"Here." Nicole threw an apple in which Naomi narrowly missed. "Thanks." Naomi gleamed and took a bite from that apple. The ravenette continued on walking.

"Hey, don't leave me." She yelled, running towards the mage.

[A FEW MINUTES LATER]

"Woah. This is so... amazing..." Naomi muttered under her breath. The two wizards were amazed by how much new things they have seen.

A locomotive that operates without the use of magic. Huge buildings that almost reaches the sky. People wearing a more modern clothing.

"This world...is so different from ours..." Nicole commented. The modern things and technology were so overwhelming for them. They expected themselves to be in another world, but this is much more interesting than what they expected.
