[8/25/19]
Augmented falsehoods better than reality
Better, it seems, to the mother standing in the doorway
So, how was your day?
Every time, a dead stare
Never a full answer
Total, absolute, absent daughterism
Derelict dinner table
Again, how was your day?
Unanimous, silence
Good. It was good.
Heartfelt conversation is gone
To the good-meaning parents sitting across
Every time, a dead stare
Recollecting bright images and combos
Irresistible to continue
So they return to their screens
Mutual, complete, absent daughterism
