The Best Idea

You were perfectly hidden between two small damaged buildings, ready for your imminent strike. Black loomed eerily around the surrounding area, obviously searching for something. He neared where you were hidden, and you masked your ki extremely well. You were almost positive he couldn't tell exactly where you were. " Here goes nothing!" You thought to yourself confidently. Just as he came close enough for contact, you rushed forward and buried your sharp pocket knife into his back. It seemed as if your plan of attack was perfect! A little too perfect... it went a little too well and was too easy. He groaned lightly, as if it didn't even faze him, and the light groan eerily turned into dark, evil laughter. You froze, confused as the figure of Black instantly disintegrated in front of you. "Wh..What?!" You suddenly felt something looming behind you. "Well that would of hurt.. if it were really me." Your face turned almost pale, realizing he had made a doppelgänger to distract you. "How pitiful you mortals really are, thinking you can outsmart a god." He growled unnervingly close to your ear. Just as you went to swing around,you seen out of the corner of your eye, his bright purple ki forming a sharp knife-shape around his hand. "W-wait..!" You pleaded  but he pulled back his hand and drove it forcefully into your stomach and you screamed agonizingly...————
You jerked awake, panting and breath ragged, clutching your stomach. Mai was right next to you, and jumped back a little. "Oh! Y/N, are you okay?! What's wrong?!" You took a second to catch your breath and looked up at her. "I'm okay, Mai, thank you. I just had a bad dream, I guess." You rubbed the back of your head slightly, embarrassed at the sudden outburst. She smiled and hugged you, being careful to avoid your dressed wounds. "Well I'm glad you are finally awake. You need to eat! We have some food prepared, so when you're ready, come and please eat and we can discuss our next plan of attack." You nodded and proceeded to get up and follow her to the rest of the resistance.
Everyone was seated around randomly in the different areas, talking amongst themselves and eating the prepared food. Trunks noticed you and Mai and greeted you accordingly. "How are you feeling, Y/N?" Trunks asked. "Well, way better now that I've slept, and finally can eat!" You laughed lightly and he smiled. "Well that's great, you and Mai go ahead, eat." You and Mai sat close to Trunks in your little semi-circle and devoured your food. "So, Mai, what's the plan? How are we going to do this?" You asked. "Well, I've had time to reinforce many different bullets and upgraded a few of our guns. We have to come up with a good strategy to get out there and be able to both search for supplies and defend ourselves in case Black see us and attacks us again." She explained. "A few days ago, Trunks and I got far enough out without being seen and we found a whole bunch of useful supplies and food at a little grocery market. That could be well of use for all of us here, because we are running low on a lot of things.." she went on, sounding worried. You looked around slowly and nodded. "Well, that's definitely something we need to get going on. Mind if I take a look at your gun improvements?!" You said excitedly. She smiled and got up and showed you to the back room where she had many different weapons and guns, lined neatly on an old table. "We plan to head out in a few hours to retrace our steps and get to that grocery market. So pick your poison, haha!" She laughed. You eyed the table happily and picked two small guns that fit perfectly in your hidden holsters. You also grabbed some new and improved ammo and loaded them into the guns, along with stocking stray ammo into your storage compartments. "Thank you, Mai. Now let's kill this asshole!" You said confidently. "I know you just woke up not long ago, but we all plan to rest before we head out. No need to be laggy and imprecise after a meal." She mentioned. You definitely weren't wanting to nap, you were ready 100% to go out and fight back. You paused before answering, "Yeah okay, I'll be in my room, thank you again Mai." She nodded and walked back towards the main area.
LATER THAT NIGHT
It was around 4am-ish. You got up quietly and exited your room into the main corridor, silently sneaking past rooms you could hear people sleeping in. Just as you were about to get past the main area where you had eaten dinner earlier, a small voice creaked, "miss..?" You turned around quietly and one of the smaller children from the group eyed you, concerned. He had a piece of food in his hand from earlier and was sneaking it back to his room, and unfortunately happened to notice you sneaking your way out. "Where are you going? Shouldn't you wait for commander Trunks and miss Mai? I really don't want to see any more people hurt by that bad guy out there." He said. You smiled at his concerned innocence and walked over to him quietly and squatted to meet his gaze. "You don't have to worry about me, kid. I can definitely handle whatever is out there, including that big bad guy out there. I'm going to get you all more supplies and if I can, I'll even try and bring you a cool toy, if I can manage to find any." You whispered quietly to him. His eyes lit up when he heard the word "toy". "Only one condition, though! Just head back to your room, and don't tell anyone where I've gone! I want to bring supplies back for everyone that I can. Deal?" He nodded and nibbled his little bit of crackers he had in his hand. "Good, now get back to sleep, I will be back sooner than you know it!" He smiled and tip-toed back towards the corridors. You paused, smiled, and headed towards the resistance exit.
Once you got outside, it was fairly foggy and the air was rich with the smell of smoke and doused flames. You walked silently through the area, moving silently and stealthily. You kept a keep eye on the sky to make sure Black wasn't in the area, trudging along, looking for signs of any kind of grocery or market-like store. You worked your way around bits of debris, careful to not make too much noise while you were masking your ki. After some time walking, you came across a building that looked somewhat like a grocery store. It was almost impossible to tell, Black had damaged so many buildings with his blasts, you couldn't tell what was what. But you went carefully into the building and it seemed, just your luck, it was indeed and decent grocery-like store. "Finally!" You thought to yourself. The discovery was very short-lived, as a rumble shook the building violently, cause some debris and bricks to fall dangerously close to you. You could only assume that he had to be near. You crouched under what seemed to be a large desk-like table, completely masking your ki once again, and drawing a pistol. "I have to be on my toes this time, I can't let my guard down." You thought confidently. You suddenly heard blasts of explosions very near, just outside the building. You had gone pretty far into the building so your line of sight was very limited. You got up slowly and carefully and went towards the area you came in from, crouching to conceal your location. You peeked around the corner to see a dreaded sight, indeed. He had not yet noticed you, but was sure looking. "I know you're out there, mortal scum." Goku Black boomed in his rasp, intimidating voice. "You mortals are good at one thing I see, hiding and running away. How typical from a species not worth even existing in this planet. Pathetic." He blasted away a building unnervingly close by. "I know you can hear me, human. You can lower your ki as much as you possibly can, but I can still sense you are here. I am a god. You cannot hide forever. Now show yourself, and just maybe we can have a little... chat." He teased. As intimidated as you were, you couldn't let his harsh words cower you out. Your gun was already loaded, but you didn't have a clear shot. You could see him, but just barely. He was hovering no more than 20 meters out from where you were. "Now don't make me force you out, mortal. This is entertaining and all, but I do not enjoy guessing games. I will blast every building in this area until you reveal yourself!" His voice boomed once again through the smoke-ridden air. He suddenly fired a ki blast into a building not too far from you. It shook the ground violently, causing the building you were in to slightly crumble and break apart. Now, you weren't even concerned about hiding yourself, you were more concerned about the building caving in on top of you! But as stubborn as you were, you didn't dare move an inch, as the building became stable again after the blast subsided. "I will not ask again." He growled. He was now facing towards your direction. "Hmph." He raises an arm directly towards your building. You froze for a second and then came to your senses and had no choice but to dive quickly out of the way through the entrance as he blasted the front end of the building away. You tumbled and rolled safely out of the way just in time. His dark laugh emitted through the air and you arose to your feet with your gun in position. His hazy figure loomed closer, barely visible with all the smoke in the air from the blast. You stood in defense, ready to fire if he came any closer. The smoke finally cleared and his piercing gaze was fixated directly on you. "Well, well... if it isn't the little defiant mortal." He teased at you menacingly. You eyed him angrily. "I have to say, I am baffled that you of all mortals would come back out here again... alone at that." He stepped closer to you and you took a step back. "Stay back!" You yelled at him. He chuckled darkly and took yet another step towards you. "Stay back, I said! Or i'll"— he quickly used his instant transmission to teleport directly behind you. You were astonished at how quickly you froze in fear, feeling his large figure towering over you from behind. "Or you'll what?" He mocked. "There is not much your mortal instrument you call a "weapon" can do to me. Have you forgotten who I am? What I am?" His words rolled off of his tongue like silver. Like he was so self absorbed, and just had to boast about himself. You dared not to move, knowing fully what he was capable of. But that one stubborn part of you just was itching to take over, and lo and behold, it sure as hell did. You whipped around surprisingly quick, and jammed a knife you had hidden in your sleeve into his chest, seemingly close to his heart. He didn't even move an inch, and as you looked at where you had made impact he had not even blood coming out. You had drove it pretty deep so you were expecting it to be effective. Now scared for your life, you slowly looked up to see him glaring furiously at you, his onyx eyes burning with hate and fury. You swallowed dryly and sunk in utter terror. Your mind was racing, but your first thought was "That.... probably wasn't the best idea......."
