- 8 months later -

It was Sawyer's senior year. Since Chloe quit, she became captain of the cheer squad and was back in her happy place. But college was far away and she wasn't sure what to do now.

Sawyer was gonna rule it this year and no more shit was gonna happen, not after Spring Fling. But then the homecoming game occurred and it seemed like her cheering days would be over soon.

The weekend after the homecoming game, Sawyer walked into school going to meet Justin at his locker. But when they saw Clay being dragged out of school with Deputy Standall behind him, they were shocked.

Her memories started rushing back to Spring Fling. Sawyer and Clay took the guns from Tyler and called Tony and made a run for it.

- FLASHBACK -

Sawyer sat in the passengers seat of a freaked out Clay Jensen as the sirens passed by them. She turned towards the backseat looking at the gun. She shook her head. The things she would do for love.

She was doing better at hiding her nervousness, Clay on the other hand - not so much.

"Clay, you need to calm down. They don't suspect anything."

-

Jessica and Sawyer met up in the hallway. "Did you hear about Clay?" She asks as she makes her way to stand next to Jess.

"Yeah, Ani told me" Jessica tells her.

Ani. Of course it was Ani. Sawyer had walls up and she couldn't understand how everybody could just let Ani in so quickly on such big things in their lives. She didn't trust her one bit.

"Well of course she did, she probably told the fucking cops in the first place. Oh god, I'm gonna go to jail." Sawyer shook her head.

"Calm down, S. Let's just go talk to Zach about it." They said as they made there way into the library. Jessica made the football players move and they both took seats in front of him.

"What the hell do you guys want?" Zach asks. To be completely honest, Zach and Sawyer weren't on the best terms. Zach had started hanging out with Chloe a lot, proclaiming it was because she was his designated cheerleader before she left. But Sawyer was Montgomery's designated cheerleader and that didn't make her want to talk to him.
