Checking the time on her wrist, Jennie tapped her foot against the ground patiently, standing under the waiting area as the rain poured down endlessly. She rubbed her hand against her arm for heat, biting her lower lip.
“So... no ones around to fetch you, huh?” She heard Jisoo's voice beside her, heaving a sigh as a response, not wanting to deal with her any longer. Or at all. Jisoo turned to her with a sly smile.
Just as she silently prayed for Jisoo to leave her alone, a car stopped in front of them. Jennie saw how Taehyung stepped out from the car, bringing an umbrella with him.
Jennie watched as he walked towards Jisoo and the latter had this teasing smile on her lips. She painfully watch how Jisoo stood up on her tippy toes to give him a kiss.
“Have you been waiting here for too long?”
Jisoo shook her head at him, pouting exaggeratedly. “Gwaenchanha.” [It's alright.] Then she turned to Jennie. “I guess I have to leave you now. Bye Jen.” She waved her hand playfully before wrapping an arm around Taehyung.
Her eyes fixated on Taehyung who was also looking back at her as they both held meaningful looks on each other, making Jisoo look up at her boyfriend in confusion. Heaving a sigh, Taehyung removed Jisoo's hand on him before he dropped it down beside her.
Just as Jisoo was so surprise of his action, he immediately slid his hand on hers, surprising his girlfriend even more. “Kaja.” [Let's go.]
As quick as lightning did Jennie snapped her head in front, not wanting to stare at them being so sweet in front of her at all. She felt her chest tightening at that, mentally cursing herself for feeling this way around them which would obviously just satisfy the bitch who did nothing but be such a nuisance throughout her life.
She took a deep breath before placing the book she was holding over her head. She was about to ran across the street, ignoring the fact that the rain would definitely drench her when she immediately stopped when she noticed how a single drop didn't even touch her at all.
She looked up to the sky but was met with an umbrella over her head, making her turn to the person who kept her shelter.
“Oppa? What are you doing here?” Jisoo asked her older brother as Taehyung and her witness how quick he was to catch up unto Jennie.
Maintaining eye contact with each other, Seokjin was caught off-guard when Jennie immediately slid her hand unto his free one before she told him, “Let's go.”
Literally dragging him with her, they walk away from the other who were left by the waiting area where they didn't even move a muscle. As Jisoo rolled her eyes at what she just saw, Taehyung only heaved a sigh, trying to follow Jennie's figure with his eyes.
With no idea where she was taking him, Seokjin had his eyes fixed on their hands together, smiling at the thought of her small hand perfectly fitting unto his like their hands were some sort of a puzzle piece.
He looked up at her once he noticed how she stopped in her tracks.
“Wae?” He inquired, wondering.
Jennie didn't answered him and just stayed silent until she felt her tears pouring down from her eyes, her silent cries turned into sobs as she raised her hands to cover her eyes.
The sight of her crying pains him and he wish he could do something to ease the pain she was feeling. He could only look down on her, letting her pour her heart out before he he had his arm around her shoulders, trying to comfort her.
Seokjin thought it was enough but she looked like she wasn't planning on stopping.
“Why do I even have to meet someone like him?” She managed to say in between sobs, asking no one in particular, Seokjin listening beside her. “What have I done to get hurt like this?”
Taehyung was the man she once thought she would be willing to spend the rest of life with. She loves him more than herself but she doubt if he felt the same to her. And that was her mistake. The mistake she knew she couldn't take back.
All the regrets were coming at her now. All the realizations hitting her hard that it pierced through her heart that it almost break her and this was the only time she found herself finally pouring it all out. Literally now, when someone like Seokjin just had to witness how she crumbled into pieces.
Seokjin stared at her for a good few minutes. And when he couldn't take the pain of seeing her getting hurt anymore, he pulled her closer, letting her sob unto his chest as he closed his eyes instead, caressing her back, his another attempt on comforting her.
“Geumanhae.” [Stop.] He tried to tell her. “Crying wouldn't change anything.”
He suddenly felt how she started to hit his chest. “It was all your fault.” Although he was confused of her words, he never dared ask her. “You should have been a good brother to your sister. You could have given her the attention when she needed it.” She continued on hitting him. “You could have stop Jisoo from being such a hoe.”
Seokjin looked down on her, parting from the hug. “And you could have poured all of your love to Taehyung so he wouldn't have to be with my sister... right?”
Jennie was stopped at that, before looking up at him. “You think I didn't do that?” She was giving him piercing glares now. Her expression changed in an instant. “I guess your sister's just a bitch to steal him from me.”
“No.” Seokjin countered. “Taehyung is just a fool to let you go.” Jennie swear she could punch him for blaming it all to Taehyung. “But don't worry, I am not him.”
Jennie was left confuse of his words, only to realize that he dropped the umbrella purposely before placing a hand behind her head to pull her in for a kiss while they were both drenched under the rain.

Sorry to break your Jinsoo and Taennie hearts but I think the title of this book already clarified things.
