“Yah!” Kim Seokjin turned to the voice who shouted at him, seeing Jeon Jungkook over his eyeglasses as he and his friends were already coming at him before he sat down on the side of his desk, his other friends surrounding the silent boy. “I heard you’ve been hitting on our queen.”
“Jinjja?” Jung Hoseok exclaimed with an unbelievable expression, slapping Seokjin’s back like they were good of a friends. “I never knew you had that confidence in you, boy.” And everyone laughed along with him.
But then the noise was cut off when they turned to the now open door of the classroom, seeing no one but the cold classmate who just stood there as if he hadn’t just stop a commotion.
Kim Taehyung walked down the aisle, eyes fixated on Seokjin and the boys surrounding him with a drink on his hand.
His eyes jumped from Seokjin to Jungkook. “What are you all doing with him?”
“Wae? Got a problem with that?” Park Jimin asked him as he crossed his arms.
“Leave him alone.”
They could all hear how their classmates were giving off howls and cheers.
“Taehyung-ah, are you bestfriends now?”
“Never thought you’ll actually be friends with a weirdo.” The others commented, emitting from the others.
“Geumanhae.” Taehyung stopped them, turning to look at Seokjin who only stayed silent in his seat. “Aren’t you even going to fight back?”
As usually expected, Seokjin didn’t give an answer and just stood up from his seat. Right when he thought he was to leave peacefully, something that Jungkook said made him stop.
“Haven’t you heard him hitting on Jennie Kim?”
Well the thing was, Seokjin really didn’t care about what others would say about him. It’s just that this time, he was so confused why Jungkook had to tell Taehyung about it.
What’s with him and Jennie anyways?
Seokjin clearly noticed how Taehyung clenched his fist before he looked up to see him already clenching his jaw too. Right when he was about to ignore it again, Taehyung pushed him back although he was the shorter one between them, Seokjin almost stumbling down.
Everyone grew alarm of this as they stood up from their seat in shock.
Jungkook and his friends only tried to stiffle their laughs, probably loving the scene unfolding before their very eyes. Or probably because they think Seokjin wouldn’t just stay silent over this.
Taehyung and Seokjin have been giving each other glares, the latter wanting to just end this unreasonable fight when Taehyung had to throw his drink at his face, soaking Seokjin’s glasses but he doesn't even looked like he was fazed about it.
The whole room fell silent, anticipating for Seokjin’s response. But like what they all expected, he just stayed quiet.
It almost took a few minutes before he removed his own glasses and wiped it using the handkerchief in his pocket, not minding the other stains on his uniform. He was so composed all throughout while Taehyung looked like he was about to punch someone right then and there.
“Such a pity.” Their eyes shot to Seokjin who uttered these words, eyes on Taehyung across from him. “Why do you have to react when you hear my girlfriend’s name?”
It surprised everyone, to say the least, as their eyes fixated on the tall man in the room.
“M-Mwo?” Taehyung couldn’t believe what he just heard much more believe what he will be seeing next.
“Jin-ah.” The campus’ famous princess’ voice echoed throught the four cofners of the wall as she called for Seokjin’s nickname. Her eyes focused on Seokjin before standing in front of him with a worried expression on, bringing her hands up his face. “What happened to you?”
Unknown to her, everyone was watching them closely. She wasn't really aware of all these nor does she cares as she had always been used to it since then.
What’s the purpose of being called the campus princess for anyways?
“Oh, ex-girlfriend’s already the weirdo’s girl.” Jungkook gave a side comment near Taehyung whose jaw were already clenched at the sight of the two before him.
Seokjin held Jennie’s wrist, startling the lady. “Wae?”
Seokjin turned to her with a sly smile. “Baby, I think we’ve gotten so much attention now.” Only then did Jennie roamed her eyes around the classroom, spotting Taehyung standing before them.
Seokjin noticed how she froze in her spot, probably surprised why Taehyung was suddenly staring at them. Or probably just her.
“And I don’t want attention.” Seokjin intertwined their fingers before grabbing her with him, stepping out from the classroom.
Jennie fell silent by his side, Seokjin gradually turning to look at her direction with a sigh. He could only stare down at their hands together, the sight of it bringing joy to his heart.
“I’m sorry.” His voice was soft but Jennie heard it clearly, making her turn to him with creased eyebrows.
“For what?”
“I see the way you look at each other’s eyes.” He nodded to himself. “And that was enough to say that you both still feel the same…” his voice trailled off once Jennie stopped in her tracks.
“Yah... How can you even say that, oh?” Seokjin fell silent, staring at her as if it would save him from her question. “Are you suggesting you’ll give me back to him?”
“Is that your other way of telling me to just let you go that easily—” he was caught off-guard once Jennie grabbed his collar and pulled him down, her lips pressing on his in a soft kiss.
He never really cared how close her face was to his as his eyes shut wide open at the gesture. Jennie parted from the kiss, probably to see Seokjin’s reaction but then he just have to pull her closer to his, deepening the kiss as he tilted his head to the side.
They parted with a smile right after, both seeing how each other’s eyes glistened.
“Don’t you dare give me to that jerk. There’s always a reason why ex-boyfriends had to be called one.” she told him.
Seokjin responded with a nod, Jennie smiling at him before she held his hand once again.
“Now, be the best boyfriend and cook me something.”
