Today stunk. Let me put it nice, today was the worst day of my life. DRAMA. I hate that word. Apparently that's what I'm living with though. DRAMA. That word leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. And I'm not even saying it, I'm writing it. I hate the word so, so much. That red headed, popular girl. Yeah, her name is Martha. Martha or as I like to call her, Little Miss Monster, is really annoying.
Ok, now I should tell you why today was the worst day of my life. It all started in Calculus class. I was minding my own business when something hit the back of my head. I looked behind me and saw a wad of paper. It was crumpled up into a ball. I looked around to see who it was that threw it to me. No body looked suspicious. I picked the paper up and unraveled it. "Dear Danni, meet me in the girls bathroom after class. Don't be late!" I crumpled it back up and stuck it into my jacket pocket.
Calculus finally ended and I headed for the bathroom. I opened the door, nobody looked to be in here. Then a bleach blond girl came out of one of the stalls. Her designer outfit and gaudy makeup just radiated that she was rich. "Who are you?" I asked not sure she was the one I was supposed to meet. "My name is Maggie. I'm here to warn you that Martha is planning on embarrassing you."
"Not the first time." I mumbled. "Wait how do you know this? And how do you know me?" I asked. "Lets just say, rich people have connections." She smiled a devilish smile. I didn't want to trust her, but what if she was right? What if Maggie is telling the truth? "When?" I asked. "Today, after French." She replied. "Now I have to go, don't tell anyone I've told you this. Or else." She threatened. "Ok." I agreed. She opened the bathroom door, took a quick look around and left. I waited a few seconds before I left too.
That's what happened after Calculus. Then after French, just like Maggie had said. Martha came up to me. But she didn't spill anything on me, or scream something like "Aww, Dani's in love with (insert name here)." No, she didn't do anything like that. In fact, she did the total opposite. "Hi Dani," Martha said. "I was wondering if you wanted to come to my table for lunch today. This whole war between us for some stupid guy is so immature." Really? I thought. Have you checked yourself lately?
"So I am calling for a treaty between us. Erik and I have decided to take a break from our relationship for a while." She smiled her best smile she could cope. "Really, now why would I believe a word you said. Or Erik's." I shot back. "Because, I haven't embarrassed you yet. Now have I?" She actually did prove a point. That girl hates my guts. Just like she hates anything that isn't shiny.
"Fine, I'll be at your table. But just for today, never again." I gave in. I mean, I was being invited to the POPULAR TABLE for crying out loud. And during that whole conversation, I was using all my strength to not squee out loud. After my Global class was lunch. I was like. FINALLY, I'M ACTUALLY GOING TO THE POPULAR TABLE!!!!!!!!! But I just screamed that in my head so no one would hear a screaming 14 yr old.
I got all of my food and could barely hold all of the excitement inside of my small body. I sat down next to Maggie and started to eat. "So Dani, how was your day?" Martha asked. "It was good." I tried not to look disgusting slurping down my spaghetti. "Good, because your going to wish you never even sat here." Martha devilishly smiled. Maggie smiled with her. I had a bad feeling what they were planning something bad. Something to embarrass me. But I was hungry, so I kept on eating.
UGGGGGGGGG. Dad is yelling for me to come down and eat dinner. Ugh. And just as I was getting to the juicy part too. I'll come back and tell you the info tomorrow. Well at least it can't get worse. Right?
