Kay pushed the last pin into the map, marking Takigakure as conquered. "Holy shit. They did it" she said as she stood next to Shinju as they looked at the map. All the Nations had been conquered and the members were in the process of becoming the Kages of their respective Nations.

Pein took over Ame, Deidara took Iwa, Sasori took Suna, Kisame took Kiri, Itachi took Konoha and Kakuzu took Taki. Zetsu took the Hidden Cloud and the Akatsuki installed puppet governments in the other Nations that would follow the Akatsuki's demands.

"I guess this is it" Shinju said. "Yeah. It was fun, eh?" Kay replied, rubbing the back of her head. Shinju looked at her and wrapped her into a big hug. "What the-" Kay said but stopped, smiled, and returned Shinju's hug. "I'm gonna miss ya kiddo," she said, placing a kiss on top of her head, "you're the best partner I've had the privilege to fight with." "Same" Shinju said, pulling away.

"Hang on..." Kay said, walking over to Pein's desk and rummaged around in Pein's desk drawers. "Ah ha!" she said triumphantly while holding several bottles of sake. She put them on the desk and set two cups down. "Madam" Kay said bowing to Shinju and indicating her seat.

Cups full of sake, they raised their cups and toasted the victory. "It's crazy to think that we'd be part of this. I certainly didn't think I'd end up here when I rescued you." Laughing, Shinju replied "I didn't think I'd be here either! I thought for sure that Kakuzu killed me. But thank you, for everything." Kay waved her words off saying, "I should be thanking you. Banzai!" "Banzai!" The two kunoichi downed the sake and spent the time reminiscing about their adventures.

"...and then you drowned him with your Prison jutsu!" "Did you see his eyes?! He was terrified!" "Well yeah! You terrorize your victims! Remember Deidara? You fucking stabbed his hands!" "Ooooohhhh yeah!"

"Ok ok, serious moment," Kay said as she struggled to remain upright in Pein's chair, "are you gonna be a Kage's wife? Or are you gonna be the Kage?" Shinju took a drink from the bottle before replying "I'm not sure. Kazu has some plans but I don't wanna just be a wife. I wanna rebuild Taki and make it a Nation to be feared!" she said as she stood up, swaying slightly. "That's my girl! Kill him in his sleep and become Kage!" Kay cheered and they both finished off their sake bottles before Shinju fell onto the sofa and Kay laid down on the floor. Soon they both passed out.

A Shiro clone entered from the floor, saw the sleeping women and beckoned for another of his clones to join him. They each picked up a drooling and snoring woman and took them to their respective beds. "At least their men won't kill us" Shiro said to his clone who nodded as both sunk back into the ground.

Several days and a bad hangover later, Shinju was in Taki with Kakuzu. She spun around in his Kage robes, placing the hat on her head. "Well?" she asked. "The sexiest Kage I have ever seen" Kakuzu replied pulling her closer to him. She scrunched up her face, "at least you get to be Kage" she muttered. He smiled and kissed her, "you're every bit a Kage as me. You are my equal and will stand beside me as my wife and advisor." "...wife?" "Mmhmm I'm not letting you get away again. I'm too old to be chasing after you." She laughed as she jumped onto him, wrapping her legs around his waist. After a passionate kiss she whispered into his ear "I accept." Kakuzu grinned and hugged her tight. Finally, after so long and so many trials and tribulations, he had caught his woman and she agreed to connect her life to his, permanently.

"You're going to need bigger robes" Kay said as she watched Kisame try to put on Mei's old robes. She laughed as he struggled and he tore the robes to shreds in his frustration. "It's a stupid outfit anyways! Why wear robes?!" "Because it's tradition" she said as she sat on her knees behind Kisame and kissed his neck. "Not all traditions need to be kept. For example, I'll keep Mei's ruling that kids don't need to slaughter their classmates to advance, but I still want to be known as the Bloody Mist." "Mmmm you want to be respected and feared. I'm sure you'll guide Kiri to greatness, especially if you're working with Konoha."

Kisame pulled her to sit on his lap. He wrapped his arms around her and leaned his chin on her head. "And you? Will you stay in Kiri or will you disappear?" "I haven't decided yet. Kiri is nice, it's new Kage is gorgeous but being in one spot has never appealed to me." Kay said as she fiddled with his large fingers. "But I'll stay and help you through the transition period" she said causing Kisame to smile. Small steps, he thought, and she'll stay here.
