I'm in love with a face I can't remember
It was a warm day in December
With snow.
You held my hand and told me
"I never want you to be lonely"
But then you let go.
Now you've been gone for so long
I can't remember your face. It's wrong
My heart, it beats so slow.
Today, I put my makeup on with haste
Rush back to our spot and wait
But there's no audience for this show.
I should go.
But not until it snows.
Warm and light and slow.
To remember
The face I forgot in
December.
