10. Confessions Pt. 2

I'm not going to place a warning at the top of each chapter because it's one of the tags for the book. I will leave a little warning right on the POV change right before the NSFW starts)

KTH, POV

Taehyung was pacing back and forth in his living room trying to calm himself down. His mind was going crazy for so many reasons and it was going to take all of his self control to survive this conversation with Chaeyoung. Making matters worse, he can't even fully be angry at her or expose her to Jungkook because after their meeting today in Tae's office--he isn't so sure that Jungkook is as innocent as he thought in all of this. 

knock knock 

"Hi, Taehyungie.."

"Chaeyoung. Come in, we'll talk in the living room."

Tae took his seat on his couch while Chaeyoung made herself comfortable in the love seat directly across from him. 

"Look Tae.. I don't want to try to bullshit you even a little bit" she took a deep breath "I have been unfaithful to Jungkookie..but before you bark down my throat let me explain a little bit, yeah?"

he just hummed in response 

"Jungkookie and I have been together for four years. We met in high school, fell in love afterwards and things were great. A year or so ago whenever JH Entertainment really took off, he became so invested in his company that he slowly turned into someone that wasn't the boy I fell in love with. He was cold, distant and spent all of his valuable hours in a day at work. Coming home only to eat and sleep " Chaeyoung started crying a little and Taehyung couldn't tell if they were genuine or crocodile tears, he just scoffed as she continued "I was about to debut at that time. That's also when I met Hoseok. Everything was innocent at first, honestly. He was just a brilliant ray of sunshine on my bitter days. He was a fantastic friend. Somewhere among the various training sessions and coffee runs, I fell in love with him too...but Taehyung I still love Jungkookie with all of my heart. I didn't mean to let another man into my life but he was so distant. Like an emotionless robot at times. Even our texting conversations were so dull. It was like any light that was once in our relationship disappeared."

"If that is how you feel, why don't you leave him? Hobi loves you. He could make you happy too. Why are you insistent on stringing them both along?" 

"because...I made a mistake. I had been sleeping with Hoseok for a couple months already. Jungkook and I barely had any intimacy anymore. After one night with Hoseok, I came home and overheard Jungkook on the phone with someone..." she cried and Tae gulped "I don't know who it was. I never asked but God, he hasn't spoken to me that way in years. He was so invested and intrigued with the person on the other line that it destroyed my heart. It made me realize that I didn't want to lose him. The thought disgusted me."

"You're unbelievable, you were already cheating on him. but whenever you suspect he's doing the same you decide you want him to yourself?!"

"TAE! PLEASE! Look, after that I told Hoseok we needed time a part. That I wanted to focus on my fiance and try to salvage the relationship I already had four years invested in. So that night, after Jungkookie got off the phone, I voiced out my concerns about our relationship--I hadn't told him I knew he was screwing around on me yet. I just wanted to see if we could fix what we had. We slept together for the first time in over a month that night and didn't use protection. We really connected that night."

Taehyung felt like he was going to be sick and didn't understand why this story was bothering him so much. He knew Jungkook had a fiance so why does it hurt so bad hearing about their intimate moments?
