Jughead's POV
I woke up to my phone ringing. Luckily Betty was still asleep, so it didn't wake her up. ~Veronica lodge~ my phone read, so I took it into the kitchen and talked there. "Hello?" I said whispering. "Jughead? Are you out of town? Please say you're out of town." She says frantically. "Veronica, we're in New York, we're going to be at a hotel for 2 weeks. So of course we're out of town! But why, what's happening?" "Another person was killed, and there was another note. Chuck Clayton's body was found just this morning, along with a note. It read "𝙙𝙚𝙖𝙧 𝙥𝙚𝙤𝙥𝙡𝙚, 𝙤𝙧 𝙖𝙨 𝙞 𝙡𝙞𝙠𝙚 𝙩𝙤 𝙨𝙖𝙮, 𝙨𝙞𝙣𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙤𝙛 𝙧𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙙𝙖𝙡𝙚. 𝙄 𝙝𝙖𝙫𝙚 𝙖 𝙟𝙤𝙗 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙮𝙤𝙪, 𝙙𝙤 𝙞𝙩 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙮𝙤𝙪'𝙡𝙡 𝙗𝙙 𝙨𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙚𝙙, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙞𝙛 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙙𝙤𝙣𝙩...𝙬𝙚𝙡𝙡 𝙡𝙚𝙩𝙨 𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙨𝙖𝙮 𝙮𝙤𝙪 𝙙𝙤𝙣𝙩 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩 𝙩𝙤 𝙛𝙞𝙣𝙙 𝙤𝙪𝙩. Veronica said, reading the letter. "Listen, please try and find him. He cannot get to betty. We'll stay here as long as we need, so just call me with the updates. And we can't let betty find out about this." I say sternly, but quietly. "Alright, I'll talk to you soon" and with that she hung up. I went into our room, to find a still sleeping betty. I smile at how precious she looked, and headed off to the kitchen to make breakfast. After a couple minutes, I felt someone wrap their hands around me, and lay their head on my shoulder. I look over to see betty. I smile at her, how lucky am I? I finish making breakfast and hand a plate to betty, while I sit down with my plate. I kiss her cheek, and that makes her smile. "So jug, can we go to the beach after?" She asks, giving me the puppy dog eyes. I shake my head yes and she claps.
After we eat, we put on our bathing suits. Betty had her hair up into a ponytail, she had on a pink, frilly, bikini. Which accented her baby bump very well. I was dressed in my black swim shorts, as usual. We grab our bag, and head downstairs. After a minute, our feet finally touch the hot sand. We set down our stuff and walk towards the water, hand in hand. Betty gets in the water, and so do I, it's very warm actually. We just swim while we talk, there weren't actually many people. You'd thing that in the middle of summer, and in New York, it would be packed.
"The babies must like it" Betty says while giggling. I put my hand on her stomach, and feel the babies kick. She smiles at me with the biggest smile I've ever seen, I even smile back.
We stay at the beach until it's lunchtime. We get back to the hotel and jump in the shower. [together ;)] betty gets changed into a white romper with flowers and palm leaves all over it, and she has her hair half up-half down. I change into a navy blue tank top and shorts. We head to a restaurant nearby, and we eat.
After we eat we head back to the hotel room. "Mm, I'm sleepy" Betty says while yawning. "Well then go take a nap baby." "Can you come?" She asks with her baby voice. I nod and we both head into our bedroom. Betty plops onto the bed, as do I. I sit there rubbing her stomach until she falls asleep. After she does, I wrap my arms around her and fall asleep
I woke up to betty throwing up. I get up out of bed and head to the bathroom. I open the door to see betty on the floor, throwing up. I sit down next to her and rub her back. She sits back up and sighs. "It was probably something I ate, they probably didn't agree with it." She sits there in my arms, while we sit on the bathroom floor together. We talk and talk, until Betty says she wants to go back to sleep, and so she does
