Chapter 1: being partnered and a reunion

Y/n's pov

it's been years since I last saw my father after he left me in a orphanage to keep me safe it was hard back then to make friends with some of the human like animals since I'm one of the very last few humans alive in the world but during my time there I made at least three friends a really smart turtle named Bentley who was not bothered by my being human then there's one hippo named Murray who was much easy to befriend and last but not least there was a really cute raccoon girl named Sylvia Cooper she was the one person I had a crush on but at the time I was too nervous to do it she told me that her father was killed by a gang of criminals and took pages of a book that had stuff about her ancestors called the Thievius Raccoonus to which it interested me then a couple years I was adopted by another family and receive word that my father died now I'm in my car headed to Interpol that's in Paris so I can meet my new partner as a member of Interpol's inspector

Carmelita's pov

I was in my office frustrated cause of two things one is that I wasn't able to catch the Cooper gang mostly Sylvia Cooper most of our encounter has always been her flirting and messing with me as I was in my thoughts a ring from my office phone was heard snapping me out of my thoughts so I picked up the phone

Carmelita: Inspector fox here

Chief: Inspector  Fox I need you to see me in my office

Carmelita: for what reason sir?

chief: to meet your new partner

Carmelita: okay I'll be there in a minute

with that I hanged up and grabbed my jacket and put it on then made my way to the chief's office as I did I was getting curious of who is my partner when I walked past some other Inspectors and officers I managed to hear them said a rumor that my partner was a human to which surprised me cause there were such so few of them left that they are practically nearly extinct in all honesty I have a thing for humans that I wished to date one but since there are so few most of them are either with other humans or just do what life had to offer once it made it to the chief's office I knocked on the door

Chief: come in

I then opened the door and proceeded to enter the room once I did I see a man with h/c but the most noticeable thing about him is that he's human he then turned to me and I got a good look of his face I lightly blushed that he just look so handsome with his e/c I then composed myself and put my hand out to offer a handshake

Carmelita: *smiles* greetings my name is Carmelita Fox

Y/n: *shakes her hand and returns a friendly smile* nice to meet you miss Fox my name is Y/n L/n I hope we could be good friends and partners

as I saw his smile my heart beats rapidly cause he is just the handsomest human ever but I stayed composed the Chief gave us the okay to leave so we head to my office and talked along the way he even shared his secret that his family line were all elite assassin's but told me that they only took out the most dangerous of criminals the reason he told me this is because he wants absolute trust and faith in his partner to witch I was happy to keep his secret once we got to my office we began to do some paperwork as I was going through a file of Sylvia Cooper to which Y/n looks over my shoulder looking at the files contents

Y/n: now that's a face that I haven't seen in years

Carmelita: *cautious* what do you mean?
