I had just woken from my nap, when I realized my shadow guards were not at their post. After getting up, and walking to the cave entrance, I covered my eyes from the sudden light and heat, knowing it must be around 2 in the morning, which was too early for the sun to be up. " What the-" I reached into the cave shadow and pulled out a ball of the shade, they then immediately formed into a pair of sunglasses.
After shading my eyes from the light, I grabbed the scarf I have with me at all times, and throw it around my neck, making it cover up all the way up to my nose. " There my face is covered." I whisper.
"Hey you!" shouted a man from afar.
I swiftly turned a 90 degree angle, and looked up into the sky, now just noticing the dark cloud of what looked like the Sand Mans sand, only black, coming down from the sky.
"Hello Whisper! It's been a very long time." He shouted from the black cloud.
My mouth gaped underneath the scarf, as a lean tall grey man, emerged from the sand. "Leave Pitch Dark! You are not welcomed here." I answer back in response to his greetings
"Why so cruel?" he mumbled with an smirk. He lifted his left hand and out of his dark sand, about 35 Nightmares emerged from the the cloud, "Get her!" Pitch yelled as he pointed a slender finger at me.
I knew that I could not defeat that many Nightmares, so I did the next best thing. reaching into the shadows, my palms gave off a light purple glow, I closed my eyes and imagined one of my fastest creatures, The Sprangter (made up word right there). I formed shadow stairs up to the back of my Sprangter and sat down.
Nightmares began to surround me, as I got ready to take off. "Go Sprangter!" I shouted as loud as I could in my whispered tone. As I dug my hands into the lower neck of him, to control where we end up, " North Pole.." I whisper into his skinny long ears.
After I spoke those words, a hole opened up in a shadow, almost like a Whirlpool. I spread my fingers wide, to give him the direction of the portal. Nightmares chased after me, and entered the portal right after me. As the portal closed, it severed a Nightmare in half, making it turn to sand once again. After only a minute, the entrance to the other end, opened and i leap out along with the 5 Mares that made it with me. " North.." I whisper, as the winter blizzard started to engulf my followers, making them turn into a frozen black statue.
That's when the blizzard subsided and i fell of my 5 ft Sprangter. He was freezing, his coat covered in thick frost. I opened up my bag that was on my back, and motioned for the creature to melt and flow into my backpack.
I heard snow crunching as a giant of a man, came into view, along with a small teenage boy. I ignored the cold and got up off the snow covered floor, " I need your help North.." I say kind of scared of the man in front of me.
He ignored my plead, and picked me up by the scarf, and starred at my shaded eyes, forgetting that I still had enormous sunglasses on. "You know you are not allowed in the North!" He yelled as he pulled me up tor ward his face, allowing me to see his rosy cheeks and red nose. I giggled slightly, reminiscing of the first story of him every made. They were totally wrong on their part, Mr. Santy Claus.
"What is funny, Whisper." The Russian said gruffly. "They were wrong, North... You have a bad story, being all holly and jolly. Very wrong." I say with a smile.
He jerks back and smiles brightly, " You are correct, child." I get flustered and make Norths shadow leap up and grab his arm, the only color on this black reflection of Santa Claus, was the luminescent purple eyes, starring at his owner.
I was dropped onto the floor, but I landed in a crouch and just remembered there was a boy here too. "Who are you?" I speak to him, making him flinch from, forgetting that he was even there.
He leans onto his staff and gave a small smile, "I'm Jack Frost." I roll my eyes and walk to him, not making a single print in the snow left behind. "And what do you guard?" I tilt my head to the side and inspect him, lifting his shirt, and flipping the inside of his palm up, noticing his skin was just as cold as mine, just slightly warmer, "Are you for winter, or for fun?" I let go just guessing by his tone and face, plus the way he walks, that he must be one of those types.
"Fun.." He says simply, "Hmm... I bet Pitch just hates you, huh?" I say in a some what lower whisper than usual, making myself sound creepier.
He nods and laughs slightly, " Well I don't blame him.. Fun.. That's annoying." I say bluntly.
I watched the smiling boy start to frown, and laughed aloud, " Sorry.. I don't like fun." I say bluntly.
"Who doesn't like fun! Everyone has had fun in their life, even Pitch Black has, and he's.. Well he's Pitch." Jack exclaims, trying to stand up, for what he was made a guardian for.
I waved him off and put my focus back onto Claus, who patiently waited for us to finish talking. " North, I need help. Pitch wants to steal my power, or something. All I know is that he had just attacked me about 4 minutes ago. I need... Oh gosh, I can't believe I'm saying this, but I need your help." I mumble.
North gave a hardy yell, and pulled me into a hug, "DA! We help you." He squeezed me harder, and sat me down, then pulling me along to the giant building that held Yetis, toys and elves.
"Jack will call for other Guardians." North says plainly as he kept looking forward as we walked. I and Jack a few feet from each other, being guided by the giant Russian.
