KAITO'S P.O.V

I ran and hid inside this small room. It wasn't that terrifying. But they were extra prepared today, at least more than they always are every other days. I took a big breath and blow it all out through my mouth silently. Ugh, my head hurts so bad. No this can't be happening here. No no no no no.

???'s P.O.V

Wait. Where am I?

SHINICHI'S P.O.V

I sighed as I went into my house. It was very quiet indeed inside, but that's just how I like my place to be like. We didn't catch that white suited thief tonight either. It's been a very long time that the police department and me-sometimes- try to catch him. But we never succeed. Why is he so damn good at this job of his?

I made a cup of coffee and sat down in the reading room. I stood up to take a book before sitting down again to read it. And that's how my night ended.

KAITO'S P.O.V
(Sry, I really like to switch the P.O.V a lot. So yea...)

I opened my eyes. Am I back at home? Well at least I'm home.

I stood up and sat on my chair. I pulled the laptop in front of me closer and opened it. I typed my password before going straight to google. I was planning on searching for more gems. But this headache of mine keeps on coming. Once in a while it would come and then disappear in another split of second. I can't let it happen, not while I'm working at least.

After hours of searching. I finally got the perfect gem. It's called 'Crystal Ocean'. It's going to be shown to public in the end of this week. On a cruise ship where rich people meet. It's perfect, oh I need to tell Jii about this. I reached for my phone and!

I fell. It hurts so bad, you know what I couldn't take it anymore! This day have been too much even for me! And I finally gave in.

???'S P.O.V

Hmm?

Where am I?

Ooo... look at those shiny things! I walked towards the desk and took the little shiny thing. It was a sand watch! It's soo cool! I wanna play with it!

Dang it? Is that something Kaito like to say? It felt as if it's a common thing for me to say those words. It felt so easy to roll those words through my tongue. *shrug* but I don't really care.

And with that, I continued playing with the amazing watch I took earlier. Well at least until I heard a loud knock that was followed by a loud voice shouting, "BAKAITOOO! Let me in! I brought us dinner!" It was Aoko. So it's Aoko-neechan!  I ran into the closet and locked the door. And then I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

KAITO'S P.O.V

I opened the closet door and ran towards the house's front door. I opened the door for Aoko and let her in. She walked passed me with a smile, two bentos on her hands.

"It took you more time to let Aoko in. Usually Kaito would open it almost immediately. What happened? Was there anyone else here?" I gulped but I don't think she realized it and I answered her question.

"Nope. No one was here." I told her. That wasn't exactly lying right? There really wasn't anyone else here. She shrugged it off her shoulders and skipped herself to the dining room. She put the bento on the table and we ate in silence. That wasn't a normal thing that we do it's just there was nothing to talk about right now. That was when she broke the silence.

"So... I have a boyfriend and yea. That's a good way to start a conversation right?" She laughed, trying to ease the tension. But truthfully, after what she just said earlier, I don't think the tension would ease that easily. I liked her okay, but the curious thing here is that I don't feel anything right now. I don't even know why.

"O, cool." I replied, uninterested. "Who's the lucky guy?"

"Hakuba..." She answered quietly. My eyes widen. Him?! THE Hakuba Saguru? The guy I, her best friend, hate the most? Now that's just too much for me. I laughed dryly and finish my dinner quickly, really not wanting to talk about this any further with Aoko. Before I could stood up to give her the bento box, she took it from my hand.

Her face was not happy, it's a mix of anger and sadness, "I really thought you'd support me on this! And all you did was... THAT! I thought you're my best friend!" She shouted. Aoko never shouted about serious stuff like such.

I didn't mean it to come out like I was against it-although I am- I am just a bit tired.

Then, she stumped her way out of my house. I sighed and made my way to my bedroom before throwing myself onto the bed. I think I fell asleep a couple minutes after I laid down.

SHINICHI'S P.O.V

I really think the heist tonight was a bit odd. KID spent a little amount of time thinking about something else other than the heist. I don't know how I know that, but he looks like so. It kinda looked like he was having a headache the whole heist, he kept on holding or rubbing his temples in every chances he got to do that.

He looked like he was suffering badly through the heist. It's like he's trying to stop something from happening to him. But I have no idea about what it is.

What could've happened to him?

Hey everyone! Sorry for the quite weird plot. Congrats to anyone who find out about what Kaito's going through. But if you didn't find out, no need to worry. So yeah! I think everything would be much clearer in two or even one more chapter.

Edit : So I changed the story a little, well quite a lot actually. Just wanna say to all who read this book before I edited it, all your guesses were correct and sorry that I changed it.
