Chapter 14__Down the Rabbit Hole

Alone, for days, in the mansion, with no one there except me. 

The empty halls, the empty rooms, the empty everything. 

I had this entire house, with Stefan and Damon, and neither of them were even here right now, and they were either good or bad every other day, or they wanted to kill each other when they had found a safe middle ground.

I didn't understand why, and I knew that I never would, but right now, I wasn't thinking about it. 

The conversation with Damon in the cell was still in my mind, talking about the past, and everything that had happened, like he had been trying to find a reason to pick a fight with me too 

I didn't know why, and I didn't care. 

Just being here alone, I realized how much I really did miss them.

My parents. 

And there was nothing that I could do to bring them back.
