Third Person POV

[final chapter]

"9 𝘺𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘴... 5 𝘮𝘰𝘯𝘵𝘩𝘴... 23 𝘥𝘢𝘺𝘴.... 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶" jennie utters as she stares at a picture from her drawer. white theme of the bedroom makes every corners bright. adding the sun rays that's beaming through the window.

she heaves a deep sigh and a pang on her chest is felt. it has been years since that heavy feeling in her chest was existing. since the day....

the day she turned her back to lisa.

"𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘢..."

lisa, her only loved one. she's already tired of trying to make herself happy even tho she can't. even with the presence of her husband and child. well except ella. since her daughter was the only one who was there in her miserable life. Ella has been her source of strength since then. business made her busy until now, making her not realize how time flies so fast.

4 years after the accident... the person behind the black hood is still bothering her. nothing much, she just wanted to thank that person for saving her daughter's life. even though she knows by herself there is really something to that person, but she shrugged it off and decided to let that instinct pass.

she gulped staring at their picture that was taken a decade ago. she inhales deeply and closes her eyes as she releases her exhale, slightly crumpling the old photo paper in her hand that was slowly fading due to the time that already passed. she quickly hid the picture inside the drawer quietly as she felt her husband moves a little bit on the bed. she sits down on the side of the bed and looks at her husband. feeling guilty for not giving back every efforts he did since the day they got married. it wasn't his fault either. well none of them wanted it in the first place. Kai really likes jennie but never thought of getting married to her forced.

but their parents insisted, or else the both of them would get disowned. business matters to their family, and they have to follow or get their lives in a worst state if ever they decline any of their commands.

-

jennie quietly went out of their bedroom. heading down to their kitchen to prepare their breakfast. the maids told her to rest since they got in there first. jennie didn't protest at them and decides to have a seat outside the house.

she inhales the fresh air and took her phone outside as she sits down. chirping of the birds that seemed to be a music was indeed beautiful, adding the sounds of those leaves  swiftly flying along the air and tree's branches swaying. just a perfect place to relax.

her quiet moment was interrupted by her child who's now taller, an eight year old girl goes near her place, flops down herself in front of her mother. jennie smiled seeing her daughter and asked where she was a while ago.

"𝘩𝘪 𝘣𝘢𝘣𝘺, 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮?"

"𝘪 𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘮𝘺 𝘧𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘵𝘦 𝘷𝘢𝘯𝘪𝘭𝘭𝘢 𝘪𝘤𝘦 𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘮 𝘮𝘰𝘮, 𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘢 𝘵𝘢𝘴𝘵𝘦?" ella says as she giggles softly giving the ice cream to her mom

"𝘰𝘩 𝘣𝘢𝘣𝘺 𝘪𝘵'𝘴 𝘰𝘬𝘢𝘺, 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴" jennie declined respectfully

"𝘮𝘩𝘮.. 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘭𝘰𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘱𝘰𝘱? 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘨𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘸𝘩𝘪𝘭𝘦 𝘢𝘨𝘰" she dropped a pair of heart vanilla flavored lollipops that was tied by a pink ribbon.
