I despised being in the one place that used to bring me joy - my family's company. Certain individuals there had begun to test my patience, attempting to take away something that rightfully belonged to my family. They had poured their blood, sweat, and tears into building this company from the ground up, and I refused to sit idly by and let it be taken away.
On the other hand, I also detested being at my second favorite place - home. The constant fear of not knowing whether I was awake or trapped in a vivid dream during these intense sexual encounters was driving me to the brink of madness. My sex life prior to these wild experiences was practically non-existent, or perhaps I had never truly experienced it at all. I wanted to believe that I was still a virgin, but at this point, I couldn't be certain. My body ached in places it shouldn't, leaving me confused and unsettled.
"Damn it!" I exclaimed, sighing heavily as I sat here, reflecting on the whirlwind of experiences I had encountered in the past few days. My thoughts wandered to the point where my panties grew increasingly damp from the naughty fantasies that danced through my mind. Swiftly, I wiped away the beads of sweat that had formed along the edges of my face, startled by the sound of someone shuffling outside my closed office door.
To my dismay, the two individuals who had been making my life a living hell barged into my office as if they owned the place. Zayne and I, once the closest of friends, had somehow become sworn enemies. We had been inseparable throughout our teenage years and even managed to maintain our friendship throughout college. I couldn't fathom what had caused our recent drift apart.
"Since you seem to be idling around, here's something for you to do," Zayne declared, tossing the files I had been requesting from him for the past few days onto my desk.
"I swear that's all she ever does," Lena's voice burst out before she quickly sought refuge behind Zayne, as if he could shield her from my wrath. I couldn't comprehend why this stick-thin, pale-faced vampire of a woman had such a problem with me, and quite frankly, I didn't give a damn. If I ever crossed paths with Lena on the street, I would unleash a world of pain upon her that she would never forget. But for now, my primary concern was Zayne.
"Zayne, please wait," I blurted out just as he turned to leave. "Lena, get out of my office now!" I demanded, noticing that she made no effort to leave. After physically pushing her out of the room, I slammed the door shut.
Zayne stood before me, his hands buried deep in his pockets, giving me the coldest, most piercing glare I had ever witnessed. His eyes seemed to hold a brewing storm, and his bottom lip was tucked between his teeth.
"Aren't we still friends?" I asked, my voice trembling with uncertainty.
"You don't deserve a friend like me, Haley. You're not good enough to be my friend or anyone else. You and I aren't even on the same level to be even considered acquaintances!" Zayne replies leaving me flabbergasted as he storms out of the room slamming the door behind him.
6 pm...
As I stepped into my house, a wave of hurt, anger, and exhaustion washed over me. Even within the familiar walls, everything seemed to exude a sense of gloom and desolation. The weight of my emotions burdened my weary eyes, making them feel as if they were being crushed by an immense boulder. I hesitated to close them, fearing the unknown that awaited me in the realm of dreams and illusions. The line between reality and fantasy had blurred, leaving me uncertain of what was genuine and what was mere fabrication. The visit to the doctor felt like a futile endeavor, as she attempted to convince me that nothing was awry. "A woman of sound mind doesn't witness figments of imagination morph into the likeness of her clients, especially when she is fully awake," I wanted to scream at the doctor in frustration.
