Chap 24~ Remembering

Hitoshi P.O.V

We got back to the dorms after about 15 minutes of sitting on a bench, Neito crying and me trying to comfort him, and just deciding to call a taxi.

We walk in at about 10 pm. Vlad King is in the common room. He looks up when the doors open. "I was just making sure you boys got back safely. Is everything okay with your parents Monoma?" He asks. Neito starts to tear up again. "O-Oh im sorry.." Vlad stands up and walks over to hug Neito. Neito stays standing there, silently crying into Vlad's chest.

After a few moments Vlad pulls away. "Well... I hope you feel better tomorrow Monoma. I have to go.." Monoma nods and wipes his tears. Vlad gives a sympathetic look before walking out.

After a few moments in silence I walk to Monoma, who hadn't moved. "Do you want to go to my dorm or yours?" I ask. I knew he wouldn't want to be alone right now. "Yours.." He whispers. I nod before taking his hand. He grips back softly.

I lead him to my dorm and slowly open the door. "Do you want a change of clothes?" I ask. He nods. "Alright ill be right back." I move to grab his keys but his hand squeezes mine. "Don't.. go.." He whispers. "But your.. clothes?" I ask. He just points to my dresser. I sigh. "Okay but there going to be a bit big." He shrugs and loosens his grip on my hand before letting go completely.

I walk to my dresser and pull out two pairs of sweatpants and two plain t-shirts. I hand him the clothes I got out for him and walk to the bathroom to get changed. He whispers a thanks. I just smile and nod before closing the door.

I get changed and walk out to see Neito by my desk, looking down at something. "Whacha doing?" I ask. He whips around. "I- Its nothing. Sorry." He quickly pushes something back and steps away from the desk. "Neito its okay." I walk towards my desk to see the picture with all the dates and notes, upside down. I look back to Neito. Hes looking down. "You coulda just asked. I would've told you." I tell him, taking a step closer to him. He looks up. "Really?" I nod. "Of course." I smile softly. He does the same.

"Can we.." He looks down as he begins to blush. I give him a questioning look even though he cant see me. He looks up again and blushes harder. "Cuddle?" I chuckle at how flustered he got over it. "Yeah." His face lights up slightly before he tries to play it off.

I laugh before walking over to my bed and falling onto the bed. Neito turns to watch me. I smile and reach out, making grabby hands towards him. Neito chuckles before falling into my arms.

It felt good to see Neito with a smile. Im glad I could help him.. so far.

Neito was laying on top of me, his head resting on my chest as my arms were wrapped around him, slowly rubbing circles in his back. We were both silent but it was comfortable silence.. until Neito started to whimper.

I stop rubbing his back and look down. "Neito? Are you okay?" He dosent move or say anything, his whimpers just get louder. I shake him slightly. "Neito?!" I start to panic. What was-

"Shut up.." He whispers. Was he talking to me? "W-What?" I look at him confused. He starts to claw at my chest, continuing to whisper 'shut up' but the words were slowly getting louder. This defiantly wasn't towards me. "Neito its okay!" I shake him again. Nothing.

Neito P.O.V

Everyones words started to fill my brain. They screamed at me. Everything mean anyone has said to me. They all called me worthless, disgusting, useless, stupid, anything bad they could call me they did.

Then my moms words filled my head.

"The only thing you can do in your life is steal quirks."

"You dont deserve anything."

"Your a disgrace to the Monoma name."

"Disgusting faggot."

"You will never be able to do anything with your life."

"Overly cocky-"

I hadn't even realized I had begun to yell at the voices. I lost perspective of everything. I couldn't feel or hear Toshi. I couldn't look around his room. "I couldn't remember anything besides the treats. The name calling. The..

truths..

I covered my ears in hopes of it blocking the noises as I screamed "SHUT UP".

The voices began to fade but.. my uncle came into view. He walked up to me and slapped me. He was always the most abusive...

I couldn't move or scream. I was trapped. He slapped me again and grabbed my leg before flipping me onto my back. My head slammed onto concrete. He then slammed his foot onto my hand, crushing my fingers. Next he bent down next to me and punched me in the jaw.

I could feel each and every wound but, I couldn't even cry. I heard Toshi talking but... it wasn't in the same kind voice he normally used...

My uncle faded. I was standing again. A new scene began to set in. I saw two figures. Me and Toshi. I instantly recognized where we were. The roof.

"I want to help with whatevers bothering you. Your my friend right? Thats what friends do!" I watch myself say. "No.. leave.. leave now.." I whisper, running up to the other figure of me. "You've known me three days. Three!" Shinso says, staring right at my other figure. I cant watch it again. I turn around and cover my ears but.. a few moments later I hear the words I was trying to block out.

"... cocky, egoistical, BASTARD!" I flinch at the words before turning around and running back to my other figure. "No! He dosent mean it! Don't say it! Don't call him a villain!" My other figure begins talking. I cant hear anything though.. until..

"VILLAN!"

It rings through my ears as the scene fades again.

My vision starts coming back. I see four figures. My vision continues coming back and I can make out who they are. Toshi.. Kendo.. Tetsutetsu.. Vlad King. Toshi is facing away from me, talking to Vlad King. Kendo and Tetsu are by the wall, facing me, Kendo having one foot on the wall with a finger by her mouth, worried expression on her face. Tetsu is standing straight up, fists clenching and a similar, worried expression. I see Kendo look up and jump. "Monoma!" She rushes over to me as Toshi whips around to look at me. She pulls me into a tight hug. "Are you okay?!" She exclaims, pulling away but keeping her hands on my shoulders. I nod slightly and look at Toshi, his eyes filled with worry and his face red.

Kendo looks back at him before moving away. Toshi runs up and pulls me into a even tighter hug. "I was so worried.. you just started crying and screaming.. I didnt know what was happening.." I hug back, holding him like I would die if I let go. He begins to cry in my shoulder and I start to do the same. "I-Im okay.." I manage to choke out.

After a few more minutes of crying while holding onto each other, he slowly pulls away. Vlad king steps up to me. "Shinso explained what happened at the hospital. I know how hard that must have been." He looks down, a pained expression on his face. "He also explained some things about your past." I look down. I forgot I told him some of what happened..

"I dont want to say this but Monoma.." I look up.

"You may have to go to a..

mental hospital."
