Reagan Graves had left bodies in his wake. Bodies among bodies that just seemed to keep coming up. He had slept with about half of his victims, shockingly having no joy in the activity. The nasty frown had seemed to find a permanent home on the demons face much to his disgust. His once charming smirk had been dormant ever since that day he stormed out on Stefan, trading it in for a scowl. The Salvatore's, along with the other vampires and witches, had been thinking of anyway to stop the demon. And for some reason they had decided Damon was perfect for tracking him down and talking to him.
Reagan was very, very angry. Or maybe he was just bitter. Yes, bitter, seemed like a better word. Bitter described the demon well. Especially when he was sitting in the grill, like always, brooding.
Sulking had become a hobby of Reagan's, when he wasn't killing anyone he was sulking. It was such and odd occurrence to see the incubus in any mood other than smug. He was always so self assured, craving the attention of every individual in the room. But now he was sat in the back corner of the grill, glaring at a wall as he finished his drinks.
"What's a guy like you doing drinking alone?" Reagan clenched his jaw, taking a deep breath as Damon sat across from him.
"What do you want Salvatore?" The demon arched an eyebrow at the vampire, clenching his jaw as he ran his finger around his glass.
"Just to talk to my friend."
"Do you wanna get out of here, Damon?" Reagan leaned forward, his voice falling into a suggestive tone as Damon's eyes widened.
"Oh my God, there really is something wrong," Reagan groaned and fell back into his seat. Clearly he wasn't going to be able to charm his way out of this one.
"Just leave me alone." Reagan shook his head, rubbing his temples as Damon shook his head.
"No chance. What is wrong with you?" Reagan could hear the genuine worry in the raven haired man's voice. Whether either man would admit it or not, they had formed a friendship in the time they had spent together.
"Nothing," Reagan lied. It was definitely something, Stefan. His mind kept on running with thoughts of Stefan. His smile and his eyes- Reagan wanted to forget about the vampire however not even sleeping with random strangers could help him forget.
"Stefan told me you just ran out on him and went on your murder spree," Damon looked at the demon in question. Reagan merely pouted, not making eye contact with the Salvatore. "Did he do something?"
Reagan remained silent, not looking up.It was something. It was the worst kind of something. Feelings, Reagan had a deep detestation for this feeling specifically. He hated the way it made him think, the way it invaded everyone of his thoughts and it made his heart speed up and his palms sweat. It wasn't nervousness, let that be clear, Reagan did not get nervous.
"You-" Damon hesitated, looking over Reagan intently. "You like him." Damon's grin was going from ear to ear, his laugh echoing through the grill.
"I don't like anybody," Reagan growled with animosity.
"You're so cute when you're furious."
"Shut up, Damon." Reagan shook his head, throwing down cash and making his way out of the bar.
"Come on, it's not that bad. You like Stefan-"
"It is bad," Reagan huffed as he faced the man. "My hands are sweating, my chest hurts, and I can't sleep with other people anymore."
"It's adorable."
"It's disgusting," the incubus scrunched his face up in distaste.
"You can't just keep killing people-"
"I can do whatever I want to."
"You actually have feelings, don't try to go back to being an asshole." Damon sighed, a slight smile on his face.
"I do not want feelings. My life would be perfect if you and your stupid brother weren't here, and if I never came back to this stupid town." Reagan ignored the way Damon took a step back. Everything was running high for the incubus.
His thoughts kept echoing the same thing over and over, Stefan. It was such a strange thing for the demon to want to be around someone and not so he could kill them.
"You're being childish. And that's a lot coming from me."
"I've done nothing but sleep with people and then kill them right after, sorry if I have trouble processing things that last longer then one night."
"Just talk to him-"
"Leave me alone, Damon."
"Reagan-"
"Damon," all the friendliness had left the demons tone as he set a hard glare on the vampire. "I mean it. Go home."
"Would it really be so bad for you to be happy?"
"You think Stefan would make me happy?"
"You make him happy, and apparently you were happy when you woke up beside him," Damon made a slight face of disgust at the way he had worded that. What he had meant to say was that Stefan had told him what happened when they woke up. The youngest Salvatore had explained how human Reagan had acted and how odd it was. Not bad, but fairly odd.
"I'm not listening to this anymore."
"Fine, you don't have to," Reagan gave the vampire a confused glance, knowing Damon would never give up that easy. "You're only hurting yourself, because you're being so childish. You would rather be miserable then admit, that maybe, you aren't heartless."
"That's not what I'm doing-"
"Believe me. I used to do it too." The raven haired man shook his head with a scoff. "Fine, go. Kill another dozen people. This was pointless."
Damon left with a final scoff, turning his back on Reagan and not looking back.
However the incubus stared after him, a frown still in place. He clenched his fists as he watched his, friend walk away from him. Reagan was confused, running a hand through his hair as he tried to figure out what to do.
So for that night he decided to find another human and kill them like always. But all night his thoughts were still stuck on the green eyed Salvatore.
Reagan then decided that the only possible way to ignore whatever it was about Stefan that made him so interesting, was to go back to the boarding house.
And the next morning that's exactly what Reagan did, despite wanting to completely ignore the problem until it went away. But things were never that easy for the demon.
