you were born to protect a special crystal, it was attached to one of many kinds of magic, you swore to protect it with your life. When someone, or something, starts attacking the crystals and their guardians, you and whoever is left stand their ground, will you be able to beat whatever it is, or will your crystal, and you, die in the attempt.
You and everyone is your group would choose a type of magic, be it water, earth, fire, air, shadow, sun, galactic, (more possibilities in the picture above) it could be anything. That would be the type of magic you protect, from there who knows what will happen. Perhaps one of the guardians becomes power hungery, or maybe a crystal shatters and it's spirit is let out causing chaos in its path. Everything is left up to you.
