Chapter 3

Ruby p.o.v
I dressed the twins and I also got dressed for my new job. I wore a black sweater and a white trousers with black flats.

I dropped the kids before going to the office. I was met with the receptionist who wore a very tight blouse that looked like her boobs would fall any moment.

'Good morning' I greeted her.

'Good morning, how may I help you' she replied nonchalantly.

'I'm here to see Damon Lambrose'.

'Do you have an appointment with him?' She asked.

'No' I answered

'I'm sorry, you can't see him without an appointment, come another day'.

'I'm the new recruit from ferrous company' I said looking at my watch.

'Oh, the new worker'.

'Whatever, just tell me where your boss stays '.

'Floor 12 room 5'.

'Thanks, see you later'.

I entered the elevator and went to the 12th floor where I located the 5th room. At the door was a sign which was D. CEO. The name seemed familiar but I just brushed it off then I knocked on the door.

'Come in'

I opened the door and was met with the most handsome man I have ever  met or seen before. He had a black hair with a 3 days stubble across his con, perfectly carved nose with a cupid bow mouth, brown eyes and a sharp jaw bone.

'Have your seat. What can I do for you'.

'My name is Ruby sterlington.I'm from ferrous company, I was sent here by Dan Ravier to work as your secretary for the next few months based on your signed contract'.

His face seem so familiar, it was a blurry picture in my head. He stared at me blankly for almost a minute before answering.

'My name is Damon Lambrose, the CEO of this company, I'm sure you would have heard a lot about me both real and myths'.

'I don't Care what people say about you, I am here to work just because of my boss'.

'Since you would be working for me, I would have to give you my schedule'. He said opening his office box and bringing out a schedule book.

His voice was as smooth as powder, listening to it too much could make a girl grow wet instantly.

'You would prepare my schedule, make coffee in the morning, follow me to meetings, interviews and write down important points you observe, go over my paper work and sort the important ones from less important ones'

'Yes sir'

'You need to be ready at all times of the day'

'As long as it is strictly business, I would be'

'Do you seem to want something than this business?

'What gave you the idea that I want something than it'. I inquired

'You have been gawking at me since you entered this office'. He said smirking.

'Practically eye raping me'. He finished raising up his has and scratching the stubble that was there.

'Why would I do that, you are just one of the many sex crazed men I come across with' I said boiling inside.

'Just show me to my office dunce'. I said.

'Sassy and kinky, perfect combination, I like it'.

'You need to first prepare me a cup of black coffee with no sugar, you office is on this floor, the room by the corner'

I gracefully left his office fuming. I be gan looking for the kitchenette which looked like it didn't exist

As I was searching for the missing kitchenette, I bumped into someone.

‘Hey’ I said shyly.

‘Hi, are you new here because I don’t think I have seen you here before’.

‘Yes and my crazy and annoying boss told me to prepare coffee without giving me directions to the kitchen’.

‘Damon is always like that. Anyways the kitchenette is on the 3rd floor, room 2’.

‘Thank you’.

‘No problem, it is nice meeting you, my name is Jason’.

‘Mine is Ruby’.

‘Beautiful name for a beautiful lady, since you are new here, I could show you around and take show you some amazing place to eat during lunch’.

‘That would be nice’.

‘See you later then’.

I went to the kitchenette to prepare coffee for my boss .

Damon p.o.v

The moment she entered my office, I was dumb stroked. I couldn’t believe my red angel was right in front of me looking so seductive as before.

She was really beautiful. I was happy she was here with her auburn hair looking like she wanted to give me punishment.

She came back later with a cup of coffee, I took it from her hand and took a sip expecting it to taste bad but I was surprised it tasted exactly how I loved my coffee, it tasted like my grandma’s and even better.

‘Have your seat’ I said. She looked skeptical before sitting down.

‘How old are you’ I asked.

‘And why do you think I would tell you my name’.

‘At least if I am to be working with you, I should know some facts about you’.

‘Ok, I’m 27 years of age’.

‘Are you married or single’ I asked.

‘Single and not searching’ she answered.

‘How old are you too’ she asked me.

‘I’m 29 years and single’.

‘I’m sorry to ask this but have we met before, your name seems familiar’.She asked me

How am I supposed to tell her we had a one night stand together, she would think I used her’.

‘No, I am sorry, D stands for Damon so it all together mean Damon CEO’.

‘Ok thank you, I have to go’ She said and left my office.

I did all my works, attending to meetings, interviews and trying not to think too much about Ruby. I felt like I was supposed to tell her about our past since she might not remember a single thing about what happened that night. She was so drunk that night. Guilt was eating me up but I guess my ego was too big to tell her.
