Kania was awakened by the sound of the alarm on her phone. She didn't bring any charger, so she was grateful that her phone was still alive to wake her up at 4 am. The staffs were probably already here including Erick, the Sawyers' chauffeur. Kania wanted to take a quick shower at her own place before coming back here to wake Daisy up at 7.
She went downstairs to the kitchen to make herself a coffee. At 17 she used to work as a barista for a half and a year while helping out Alicia at the Day Care. She used to make a nice coffee. Her boss always complemented her skill for mastering brewing and making coffee in a short amount of time. So Kania took a pride in her barista skill.
The cook usually came at 6 to prepare breakfast, so no one was in the kitchen yet.
While grinding the coffee beans, she yawned and prepared the tools. She made herself an espresso and took out a cartoon of full cream milk then steamed it with the steamer before making a cup of hot cappuccino for herself.
She was doing a latte art on her cappucino when suddenly Mr. Sawyers entered the room. She stilled on her spot.
Mr. Sawyers noticed her tiny figure behind the counter with a milk jar and cup of coffee on her hands.
Her eyes widened as the milk overflowed from the cup. She shrieked, putting everything down and cleaned the mess up with tissues.
Once she finished, she straightened herself and nod her head politely. "Good morning Mr. Sawyers."
"Morning."
"I, uh, am making coffee. Wou-would you like a cup of coffee?"
Mr. Sawyers seemed to be about to head out for a run with his running shoes and earphones.
"A long black, please. I'll be back in 30 minutes."
Before Kania could nod her head, he was already out of the room.
Now she had to wait for an half hour before she could go home to take a hot shower. She huffed. Maybe Frida, the housemaid could have something for her to wear. She'd take a shower here after all.

Kania ended up using Frida's daughter clothes. The daughter often leave her duffel bag at Frida's car after being picked up at a sleepover. So Kania glad that Frida seemed to be more than welcome lending her her daughter's clothes. They had the same size too. And Kania couldn't be more than happy after taking a shower. The weather was freezing, but she craved a warm shower.
She returned to the kitchen to make a long black for Mr. Sawyers. It wasn't much of a problem since a long black only consisted of double shot of espresso and hot water.
Not long after the was coffee ready, Mr. Sawyers came into the room looking red after running in a cold weather. Kania wondered why didn't he just run with the treadmills he owned at his own private gym.
"Mr. Sawyers, your long black."
He settled himself on the stool bar of the kitchen counter and tasted the coffee.
"Thank you."
Kania nodded. "Um, it's still 5 am. Would you like a breakfast?"
"That'd be nice, thank you."
Kania wasn't expecting him to accepted her offer. But she smiled nevertheless. She rarely make any breakfast for Daisy as Mr. Herman, the cook always made it for the family and herself. So, she getting a hang of every ingredients and sets on the kitchen. She then decided on making omelettes, strawberry sandwiches, and a bowl of simple home-made salad she knew.
