Okayy girrlsss, listen up ! Your worth does not come from another man, it comes from God.
If you do not first see Christ as your husband and cannot submit to him, you are not even close to being prepared. God is not going to send you a Godly man that you will corrupt!
If you pray for a godly man, make sure you are a Godly Woman!!
Therefore, submit to Christ first.
I know sometimes the desire for that someone special in your life is very strong but don't let that blind you and replace the love you already receive from God! His love is enough for you !
If you do not feel that is the case you need to be filled more with Christ.
This desire is mostly due to a lack of joy in the Lord. So deal with the cause not the aftereffects that make you desire other men that are never going to be yours.
The more you desire something, the more time you are going to spend chasing it. So don't look for a man but have your rest in God's embrace.
Remember, we have a history of turning good things God has given us into idols and defiling his name though it. Every time when you desire something more than Christ make sure you understand that its not of Christ !!
He should always be the priority in your life, especially your love life ! In his word the Lord said to "guard your heart for everything you do flows from it".
Therefore, if you gave your heart to the lusts of the flesh or were not careful who you spent your time with then you can end up having your heart open to all kinds of wickedness.
You are giving the devil a foothold so beware ! I urge you my dear sisters, do not go after something that does not want to be caught. The man God has for you will pursue you for he who FINDS a wife finds a good thing. Now to the men.
If you are a man that loves the Lord then pursue the woman he has placed on your heart. But be careful least you may fall. There are many women today that are wolves in sheep's clothing and want to entice you. Discern my brothers and ask God for confirmation and guidance.
Pray earnestly and continually. Ask your bothers and sisters around you for advice as well for pity is on him who falls alone and has no one to lift him up.
For two are better than one, if one falls down the other can help him up ! So do not be rash in your decisions. Be wise as serpents but as innocent as doves.
Learn how to trust the Lord in everything you do and to not lean on your own understanding. Marriage without God at the centre is doomed to failure.
For marriage is a covenant. It is something sacred that needs to be honoured. God wants to give you a long-lasting partnership where one picks the other up and vice versa. In marriage you give up your rights not uphold them. You lay down your selfishness and promise to love till death due you part.
It is agape love, something to be cherished and not treated with contempt.
