This Year's Giver

Chapter 4

A/N: I'm sO sorry for not updating this in a really long time, I actually decided to remake this chapter because it was cRiNgY uh yeah that's it-

Once the pair was finally done wrapping every present, Poppy and Branch decided to get something to eat....in the kitchen...not outside, of course.

"Soo....what do you have to eat?" Poppy asked as they were walking towards the kitchen.

Once they got to the kitchen, Branch spoke. "Well, you wont believe it but..." he opened one of his cabinets to reveal a whole lotta deserts.

"Wooooah....since when did you learn to bake?" Poppy smirked at him. Branch rubbed his arm, smiling.

"Well, let me tell you it was a long time ago" they both chuckled as Branch served some cake he made the day before.

Smidge started to panic since she and Milton couldn't find Poppy anywhere.

"Oh my gah, what do I do?! Sh-she was with me for a second, and then out of a sudden she's gone!" Smidge started hyperventilating. Milton put his hand on her shoulder as she widened her eyes a little.

"Hey, we're going to find her, just don't panic. She has to be somewhere, right?" Smidge smiled.

"Yeah, I guess" her cheeks turned a little red. "B-but where else should we look? We looked throughout the whole village!" Milton though for a few seconds.

"Except for one place..." Milton took Smidge's and and started going a direction.

Guy Diamond was really excited. He really wanted to see what the giver looked like, and then ask him for a nice pair of Gucci stuff.

"Okay Guy. You are going to stay up. No matter what it takes..." Guy (imma call him Guy cause-) yawned but then shakes his head.

"No! You're going to stay awake!" He poured some water in his face making him go to sleep right after. Thankfully someone knocked on the door a few minutes later. He almost choked for some reason because the knock scared him.

"Sjwbwjw whO IS IT?!" he ran up to the door.

"Uhh it's Dj, dude" Dj said, waiting in front of Guy's door.

'OH CRAP IT'S THE LEGENDARY DJ SUKI THE ONE WHO WORE THE GOLDEN GUCCI SHADES SNWVWJWBWWJ' Guy said in his mind, fixing his sleepy face and his messy hair. He opened the door.

"Oh, hey Dj. What brings you here?" Guy tried to act flirty but of course, failed miserably.

"Hey Guy! I was just asking if you could be our disco ball for a party tomorrow night..." he widened his eyes and blushed a little.

"Why of course! I'd love to! 'HOLY HAIR THE LEGENDARY DJ SUKK IS ASKING ME TO BE HER DISCO BALL FOR THE PARTY TOMORROW NIGHT PANICCCCCCC'"  he smiled, trying to hide his nervousness.

"Great! I'll see you tomorrow then! Baiiii" Dj said, leaving his pod.

"Alright! bAaaaAaAi" he said in his auto tuned voice of course. He closed the door and started running around his pod like a crackhead.

"Oh my hair, that was a lot of cake" Branch said, laying on the ground with frosting all over his face. Poppy was exactly like him but on the couch.

"You can say that again..." she got up and helped Branch up as well. Once they finished getting their faces cleaned they heard a knock.

"Hm...who could that be?" Poppy said, looking up.

"I'm not sure but...I feel like you should stay here, maybe if someone finds you here it might look suspicious since it's almost the night of the harvest moon.

"Ohh right...I guess it's best. I'll stay here" she sat on the couch and smiled. He smiled back and went up the elevator.

He opened his mat to see a worried Smidge with Milton standing beside him. Oh dear...

"Oh uhh...h-hey guys..why brings you here?" Branch smiled nervously.

"Hey Branch...we're looking for Poppy. Have you seen her? She's nowhere in the village" Milton said.

"Um...."
