It's almost one year after being reborn in the new world. When they arrived, they had a new adventure. (Beetween us - ImLilyFromFF13) Lightning and Hope became a couple on that journey. When they returned, they started to live together. Hope had a brother, called Hope Estheim. (I'll explain lol) Hope was Lightning's childhood friend. They became friends when Lightning's mother died. Lightning was 15 and Hope was 18. Then Hope had to go to another timeline because of Dysley. Dysley said if Hope don't go to the Yaschass Massif, his family will be destroyed. When Hope was gone that was the time when Lightning changed her name. It was a very hard time because Hope's family really missed him. Some years later when Lightning was 20 he met Hope again. She was fighting aganist a monster when Hope saved her. It was a shock see how much the change was. On look I mean. Hope was dragged back in that timeline slowly when he said: "Lightning. I want you to take care of my brother." Then he dissapeard. First, Lightning didn't know what Hope was talking about. This all was before the events of Final Fantasy XIII. Then their journey began. As a l'cie. Luckily Hope was with them. In Vile Peaks, Lightning finally noticed who was Hope talking about. The Hope who became a l'cie and sticked together with the group, it was Hope's brother. Now, on that journey Lightning promised she'll keep Hope in safe.

In FFXIII-2 we finally met Hope who tried to change the future. Well, that Hope WASN'T the Hope who grew up from FFXIII, he was Hope's brother. Hope was asked by his brother to save Vanille and Fang from the crystal. In Lightning Returns, the older Hope could barely live after he was with Noel and Snow after Serah died. It was his hardest time. His brother was in the Ark, his mother died, he didn't know what is happening with her father, and with Lightning. He wanted to stop this hopeless dream. After the souls were saved, his soul went to the new world too. First, Lightning and Serah met and on a beach, then Lightning and Serah met Hope. Hope was in shock see Lightning and Serah much happier, and inside, he felt happines and relief. After a day, they woke up in the old world, that world was alive somehow. Luckily Hope was with Lightning on that journey. They finally met. Then, Hope had to confess to Lightning what he felt from a long time ago and Lightning accepted his feelings so they started dating. 🥰 Now, they live a normal life. Together.
