As the nurse rolled me to ICU to see my mom my heart got faster and faster. I told Coach and Donald I wanted to come by myself.
The nurse looked down at me when we got to the door.
"Now Listen Malik. You can't be loud when you come inside. If you get too roundup I will have to take you out of here. You understand?" The nurse said.
"Yeah. I get it. Can you just take me in to my mom please?"
"Sure thing bud." She said as she pushed me into the room.
We walked in and all I heard was beeping noises and machines that kept my mom breathing. We got to the side of her bed and I looked at her.
She was so beat up from the car accident. They had her unconscious so she don't have to breath on her own. I felt myself tearing up. I didn't want to break down cause the nurse will take me out.
I placed my hand onto my mamas hand. Without warning tears fell still.
"Hey mama. It's me. Malik. I don't know if you can hear me or not. But I need you to get better. Wake up for me. I need you. Auntie need you too."
I squeezed her hand and laid my head on the bed. I said a little prayer for her and silently cried. I didn't want to leave my mom side at all. I must have got loud cause then the nurse tapped me on the shoulder.
"It's time for us to go son. We can bring you back later on. But now she needs to get her rest and you do too."
"Yes ma'am." Malik said as he wiped his face.
The nurse wheeled him out and took him down the hall back to his room. Before they got there he stopped her. He touched her hand.
"Wait. Can I go see my auntie for a second please?"
"Only for a second." The nurse said back to him.
We went down the hall to my Aunt Michelle room. We knocked on the door and waited for her to say come in. But instead the security opened the door.
"What's going on here?" Malik said as he saw all the men in the room along with Daniel, Donald, and some lady.
"Who are all these people?" Malik asked confused.
"Malik you need to go to your room. You don't need to be in here right now." Daniel said to him.
"Nah Coach. What is this?"
"Malik everything is ok. Just go to your room for TT." Michelle said trying to get him out of the room.
"I'm not going until I know you are ok." Malik said.
"Malik I'm fine. Please go to your room. I'll come see you in a second."
"I'll take him to his room." Donald said to her.
After they left out the room the heat got hot.
"Why you keep coming from my damn husband? I thought we had this conversation at your house. You are not his wife and your damn kids are dead. There's is no need for you to have any connections."
"First of all I don't come for him. He comes for me. I've told him to stay away from me. I have a man. And he's right here. So I suggest you get the hell out my room and take him with you." Michelle said to Alexis.
"Nah bitch it ain't that easy. You got pregnant from my man. And this is gonna stop. I don't care about going to jail. If it wasn't for my baby being in this hospital I would most definitely drag your ass out that bed."
"Look ma'am that's enough you got to go." Security said to her grabbing her arm.
"Let me the fuck go. All she does is ruin my marriage. And now I can't say my peace? That's not right."
"It's not the time for this. Now let's go. And sir you too."
The security pulled them out the room and walked them out the hospital. Daniel looked at Michelle.
"Baby are you ok?"
"Yes I'm fine. I'm just sick of them with this shit. I don't come for them but it's always something Jarod has going on. I'm sorry. I know you didn't sign up for this." Michelle said holding her head down.
"No ma'am. What did I tell you about that? Don't you dare hold your head down. This is not about that. I'm not going no where. As long as you are honest with me that's all that matters." Daniel said kissing her.
"See that's what I mean. You are so good to me. And we haven't been talking that long."
"I look at it like this. Some people are meant to be and some are not. And I feel that we are meant to be together. I got your back. You don't have to worry about that at all."
They kissed passionately and there was a knock on the door interrupting them.
"Damn who is this now?" Michelle said getting aggravated.
"Who is it?" She yelled.
The door swung open and in comes the doctor.
"Oh I'm sorry Doc. I'm just getting frustrated that's all."
"You are fine. I'm releasing you today. We have the paperwork working up. So you and Malik can go home."
"Is she ready to go home Doc?"
Daniel asked.
"Yes she is. And besides with all the drama that she is bringing to the hospital the Chief is requesting me to discharge her."
"Is this because of what Alexis and Jarod just did? That had nothing to do with me."
"That's all of it. And I'm afraid it has all to do with you. The nurse will be in here in just a second. Once you sign please remove yourself. You are not banned from the hospital for your sister. We just need you to go." The doctor said.
"Wow. So you kicking me out the hospital for that shit?"
"I'm sorry. Is there any questions you have for me?"
"No I'm fine." Michelle said pissed.
