Kirishima's POV
I decided to take Katsuki out for our anniversary. We had been dating since High School, today was our 6 year anniversary and I had spent all day taking good care of him. It was late at night, and we decided to take a walk through a nearby forest. Katsuki was intertwining his hand with mine and he gently rested his head onto my shoulder. "You feeling tired..?" I whispered. He looked up at me with a small smile, his eyes slightly droopy. "Yeah..by the way, thank you for everything today, I really appreciate it" I smiled at what he said, it made me feel all sorts of butterflies. "You're welcome, baby"I stopped walking and moved some of his blonde hair our of his eyes as I placed a gentle kiss on his forehead. I noticed the blondes cheeks go a hint of red. I rested my head on his and took in a deep breath. Gently, I wrapped my arms around his neck and felt the soft, short breathes from Bakugou. Slowly, I pulled away as we both shared a warm smile with eachother. "I have one more surprise for you Katsuki..I'll have to walk ahead though, kay? Just wait here and take a seat on the bench, I won't be longer than 10 minutes." Katsuki smiled and gave a small peck on my lips "No more than 10, I'm starting to get sleepy." I giggled at the exhausted blonde "I can tell" I walked off from my angel, excited bit nervous about giving him the present. I had been saving up for an engagement ring for awhile and today was the day I was going to ask.

Bakugou's POV
I was beginning to fall asleep, I rested my head on the bench. I heard the silent sounds of the trees swaying, the cold breeze of the air and the bushes rustling behind me. I furrowed my eyebrows slightly at the sound of twigs snapping. I was wayyy to exhausted to care, it was late at night and I just wanted to get home. A figure appeared infront of me, it stood there for quite some time, running a hand through my hair. Due to my drowsiness,I couldn't quite make out who it was, so I assume it was Kiri. I stood up and hugged him. Thats when I realised it wasn't him. I let go of the person and stood back.I became more aware as my eyes opened fully and my brain switched on. The figure glared at me with their piercing red eyes, it made me cringe slightly at how uncomfortable to air was. Without a warning, it charged at me. I tried to use my quirk in defence at the sudden movement, but it wasn't working. I felt helpless, disgusted with myself at how I couldn't react quick enough. I felt a burning sensation in my abdomen, it hurt. It hurt like hell. A sharp object had penetrated my stomach.The burning caused me to let out a choked gasp. I wasn't able to scream, I fell silent as I gripped my waist and fell to my knees. Warm tears fell from the corners of my eyes as I gasped for air. The figure let out a low, menacing chuckle as it ran away deeper into the forest.Looking down, I saw how bad the wound was,blood spilling everywhere. I whimpered and called Kirishima's name as the last form of hope.

Kirishima's POV
I had just purchased the ring, with a huge grin on my face as I jogged back into the forest, a warm feeling in my stomach.I pulled out my phone to give my baby a call, to make sure he hadn't drifted into sleep on the bench. Bakugou was never the type to ignore a call, even if it was from someone he wasn't fond of. He had always picked up, especially since it was his boyfriend calling. Everything went quiet and the forest was filled with the short rings coming from the phone, the more the rings went on, the more I speeded up my pace.My chest started pounding, I began to get anxious, it became hard to breathe. I tried my best to push it to the back of my head. 'It's just one phone call' I kept telling myself as self assurance. I began to full on run now. My heart beating out of my chest and my head slightly dizzy. The call had gone to voicemail and thats when I saw it.

I stopped running and lowered the phone, looking down. I was slightly out of breath but my eyes widened at the scene infront of me. My one and only angel, Bakugou, was lying on the floor, completely lifeless, in a pool of his own blood. Tears automatically began streaming down my face, I stood there in shock,as the panic began to kick in even more. I crouched down beside Katsuki. "B-baby.....?" I shook him slightly. As my thoughts finally collected, I quickly pulled out my phone and dialed 911. I stayed on the phone with them, sobbing helplessly as I tried applying pressure to where the stab wound was. His eyes stayed closed, not a single sign of a breath, he was gone. I didn't want to believe it but deep down. I knew it was over. I crouched over his body sobbing even louder. I sniffled multiple times before pulling out the engangment ring from my pocket. I slipped it onto his left hand as I let the tears cloud my vision and the voice over the phone became muffled.

I let out cries of help, choking on my tears.

"No....it can't be, please wake up Katsuki...you're strong, come on..please.." I begged whilst tightly shutting my eyes, praying for him to be okay gently squeezing his hand, hearing the distant sound of sirens.

I woke up with hot tears streaming down my face. I was panting heavily  as a cold sweat ran throughout my body. I was in complete shock over what happened. I slowly began to take in what just occured, then I steadied my breathing, closing my eyes, taking in a deep breath. 'Thank God it was just a nightmare' I thought to myself. Eventually, I lied back down. I reached my arm over to go cuddle Bakugou, but then I remembered.....

...He had been long gone. My Katsuki Bakugou had died 3 years ago, in the forest. I stared at the ceiling as I began to blame myself for what happened. Tears flowed down my face as I pressed the palms of my hands into my eyes to try stop the flow of the tears.

I couldn't do it.
I was too late, I didn't protect him.

I'm sorry, Katsuki.
