Ten years have passed since the violent events that took place during feudal times in South Korea. Times of big changes. During these events, there was a skilled, merciless and bloodthirsty samurai known as "Red". He collaborated on various murders...
The young woman suddenly wakes up and notices that she is in a room. Confused and somewhat disoriented, she begins to look around, but it does not take too long to realize where she is:
"I'm... in... my... room..."
And she starts to question herself:
"But how... How did I got here?"
In her attempt to sit up, she feels a strong pain in her left shoulder. She tries to remember what happened. Gradually, the image of the young traveler, rescuing her from Red's attack becomes clearer. Suddenly, she hears some noise outside her room. To her surprise, the traveler is there cooking. He is going through some trouble, because two little girls, while trying to help, do the opposite. The young woman smiles and asks:
"What are you doing?"
The traveler, not expecting to see her awake, replies:
"Well, here I am, trying to cook with your nice little sisters. I think they consider me their friend."
Then, an old man, comes out with a wide smile plastered on his face and starts talking:
"Well, well. This young man helped you. He brought you here, badly injured, and treated your wound very quick. It will heal well, because of him. Apparently, he also knows how to cook and is good at entertaining my granddaughters."
The young woman, astonished, whispers to the old man:
"Well, at first sight and the first impression he gave me was that he is not skilled at all, even with the sword. Looks can be deceiving, but he saved me from Red."
Hearing that the girls are not the young woman's sisters, but the old man's granddaughters, leaves the young man confused. The older man explains that he has been Chang family's doctor for the past 30 years. Also that the young woman's father died when she was younger. He has taken care of her just like a father would. The young woman tells the traveler that he can stay there for as long as he needs or until he decides to leave town. It is her way to thank him for saving her. The young traveler is surprised and asks her:
"But, are you sure? You don't know me."
She replies:
"Oh yes! You're right... also... you didn't knew me before either, but still you helped me. Me, a complete stranger, a person who treated you coldly, and mistook you of being a despicable man. And well, you said you are a homeless traveler, meaning you don't have a place to stay. May whatever be your reasons for traveling, I don't judge you. Please, accept my offer, it's the least I can do after you saved me from Red's attack."
The traveler gives her a warm smile and agrees to stay. She tells him that her name is Khania, and that she is a teacher of the Chang Kumdo style. A style created by her father, who believed that the sword was not to hurt, but to protect and help. But Red is dishonoring her father's legacy. She lets him know that by all means necessary she will stop Red. Even if its the last thing she does in this life.
The doctor interrupts the conversation to tell her that her students arrived. She seems very proud when greeting them but they bring bad news. The boys tell her they have to drop out from the classes, because of the bad reputation Red has created. They were very hurt to let her know their decision. They were the last remaining students she had. They sincerely apologized to her. She understood and said goodbye to them. She was very sad and disappointed and the young traveler witnessed everything.
Later, Khania decides to take a bath. She couldn't stop thinking about what happened before. The last remaining students left, putting her in a very difficult situation. In her mind:
"If I don't get students, I will have no way to keep the dojo. I could lose it. The dojo... the legacy my father left me... my home."
She was very nervous and worried. Negative thoughts clouded her mind, and made her cry for a while. She approaches the bathtub, gets in it, and let herself sink fully in the water.
She takes a long time in the bathroom, more than usual, and silence is not a good sign. This make one of the girls to wonder and say:
"How strange, no noise from the bathroom is heard. One moment ago you could hear Khania crying, but not anymore."
When the young man hears this, he approaches the bathroom, put his ear on the door in order to listen for any sound. He only hears silence, so he asks her:
"Hey, are you alright, Khania? Is something wrong with you?"
But, he receives no reply. Worried and scared, he insists again but this time shouting:
"ANSWER! PLEASE SAY SOMETHING!"
When he doesn't get any reply again, he desperately enters the bathroom yelling:
"YOU ARE IMPORTANT AND A BRAVE WOMAN. DON'T HARM YOURSELF, THAT'S NOT THE SOLUTION!"
But, nothing bad was happening. Realizing the situation he is in, his face immediately blushed redder than a tomato. Khania was naked, ashamed and glaring at him. Her eyes throwing daggers at him, showing the immense anger she is feeling right now. All she can think of doing is scream:
"WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU ARE DOING? GET OUT OF HERE!"
