To the Rescue

Chapter 1

"Kaitlyn! Kathy! The guys are coming over in a little bit, just so you know! I know you prefer if I give you a heads up!" Jason yelled upstairs to his little sisters.

Kathy groaned and lied back on her bed, "That means Marcus is going to be here and I really don't want to deal with him today or any day." She shoved her head in her pillow.

"You know he's really not that bad, so I don't understand why you don't like him." Kaitlyn looked at her younger twin and sighed, "Maybe if you tried not annoying him for once, you guys would get along. Then, it wouldn't be as bad as you make it. We see them almost everyday."

"You're only saying that cause you get along with them all! I mean they all like you!" Kathy groaned and rolled over.

"They like you too! Well except Mark, but Mark only annoys you cause you give him a reaction. So, if you don't give him a reaction, he might not annoy you. But even then, deep down I know Mark probably likes you."

Kathy sighed and sat up, "I highly doubt that Kaitlyn. Well the liking me part, not the part about him being annoying."

The doorbell rang which meant one of two things, there was either a package or Jason's friends were here. With the amount of noise that was coming from downstairs, the twins went with the second option. Judging by their voices, Gary, Howard and Mark were downstairs with Jason.

"Are the twins here, Jay?" Gary asked as he sat on the couch by Howard. "Usually they're downstairs by now or you forced one of them to open the door for us."

"They were up in one of their rooms last time I checked. They know by now that you guys are going to be here for awhile, so they might be down later." Jason shrugged sat on the other side of Howard.

"Or maybe Katherine got tired of us annoying each other back and forth and made the decision to stay upstairs." Mark laughed and sat on the other couch.

"Well you do seem to enjoy annoying her a little too much, Marky. I wouldn't be surprised if she decided not to see you for once." Howard looked at Mark and shook his head, "Have you ever tried not annoying her?"

"Nope!" Mark replied, "I find too much joy in annoying Jay's sisters." He smiled wide.

"And by sisters you mean just Kathy as you don't seem to have a problem with Kaitlyn." Gary corrected.

"That's cause Katherine actually reacts, unlike Kaitlyn." Mark looked at the rest of the group, "Which makes Katherine so much easier to annoy."

"You do realize her name is just Kathy, right?" Howard looked at him, "And that she hates it with a passion when people call her Katherine?"

"Yeah, I know the answer to both the questions is yes. My name isn't Marcus, yet she still calls me it, but it doesn't annoy me as much as she thinks it does."

"So to answer your question Gary, Kaitlyn and Kathy aren't down here because Marky enjoys being an asshole and annoying one of them. And you guys know, if one isn't here usually the other one isn't either." Jason rolled his eyes at Mark.

Meanwhile, Kaitlyn was trying to convince Kathy to go downstairs to see the guys. Kathy, being the more stubborn one of the twins, was not very easily convinced and was still refusing to go down.

"Kathy it won't be as bad as it seems, they are literally over everyday." Kaitlyn sighed, "We have been over this, he's just annoying you to get a reaction, which you are giving him! So you need to get up and go down there with me."

"You don't have this problem, Kaitlyn! Mark actually likes you! I just want to know why Mark doesn't like me. I was going to say it's cause you're the prettier one, but then I realized that even though we aren't identical, we both look like trash." Kathy laughed and stood up.
