CHAPTER THIRTEEN
EVERYTHING WAS going wrong. Elena had switched off her humanity, Bonnie was hypnotised by Shane and Tyler had left town without saying goodbye. Kristina was prone to holding a grudge especially when it came to Tyler and Caroline, so when she found out he had skipped town from the mouth of Caroline, it only added fuel to the fire burning in her belly.
She was understandably furious, but the young werewolf now had to focus on Hayley and herself. Elena was humanity less and as per usual she had both the Salvatore brothers at her beck and call whenever she stepped out of line - which was now a more frequent occurrence. Her only focus now was Hayley and helping her to find their family. But, it was all put to a halt when she received a call from Klaus explaining that Hayley was at his house and how she had gotten herself into some trouble.
Kristina was currently sat at the table with food and wine alongside her sister Hayley who had explained her situation to Kristina briefly, careful not to let Klaus hear who was in the other room. "So you're telling me you made a deal with the doppel-psycho, Katherine, who basically used you to find the cure? God Hayley, you're lucky if she lets you live after this."
"That's funny." Hayley stated as folded her arms "That's exactly what Klaus said. But, I know what I'm doing."
"You better, cause now you have a target on your back. You were literally attacked less than a couple of hours ago and if Klaus wasn't there you could of been hurt. " Kristina explained leaning forward on the table before sighing "Katherine has the cure and Elena needs the cure so I hope you understand my problem here."
Hayley glanced to her the glass in her hand as a silence fell upon them, she wasn't talking but Kristina knew she'd get it out of her one way or another. Her head turned to the sound of footsteps coming their way to find Klaus. He joined them at the table and intertwined his hands "So you're rested, you're fed, I even brought your sister. Tell me about Katerina."
"Most men get their answers from torture and intimidation. With you, it's drinks and fine dining." Hayley commented as she glanced to Kristina who sipped on her wine.
Klaus raised his brows "Well, in your case I favour hospitality over unpleasantness, but I have been known to change my mind on a whim. Where is Katerina?"
"You seriously think I know?" Hayley questioned with disbelief.
Kristina rolled her eyes at her sisters resistance as Klaus continued to press her "You tipped her off as to what we were up to and set her on a course to find the cure. In return, she sent her lackey to snuff you out. Tell me, what did Katerina promise you?"
