RYES POV

I think I want to visit my parents

I see Andy's eyes widen, "But but you said that your parents hated you when you came out!" Andy says out loud still shocked. I wince a little when he says that but continue to go on, "Well maybe they've changed?" I say quietly. I hear him sigh "If you want" he says.

"Look I'll go and if they haven't changed, I will leave" I say trying to convince him to let me go. "Okay but I want to go with you" he says. I smile and go to hug him. "Thank you" I whisper and he just rubs my back. We pull away then I say "Okay well I'm pretty sure they still live in the same house because when I was talking to Robbie he mentioned that they were.".

Andy nods then says "So when do you want to go?" I think for a bit before saying "um today" I say quietly. "Oh! Okay well then we should drop Milo off with Brook cause he really wanted to watch him. Then leave because its getting dark" he says. I nod and start walking towards the car.

20 minutes later

We just dropped Milo off with Brook who was very happy and now were heading to my parents house and man am I nervous. I'm gripping the steering wheel so tightly and Andy could tell because he grabbed my free hand and just held it.

We pull up in front of my old house and immediately the memories came back. I remember playing with my dad and brother in the yard. I also remember my first dog, man I loved him. I remember when I chased him down the street when he escaped. I never caught him. It was one of the saddest days of my life.

Then I look at the door, and I can see when my mom and dad kicked me out. I start to tear up right when Andy starts talking to me. " Okay this is- hey Rye are you okay? We don't have to do this" Andy says softly. I shake my head . "No I'm okay, let's go" I say walking up to the door.

I take a deep breath and knock on the door. I close my eyes and hear the door open, "Rye!?" I hear and I flinch. I open them to see my mom. "Mom" I say. "Oh honey, come here!" She says holding out her arms for me. My eyes widen for a second before going in to hug her.

She pulls back and looks at me "You look great. And who's this?" She asks looking at Andy. "Well uh this is my boyfriend, Andy" I say putting my arm around him. "Oh well welcome to the family!" she says going to hug Andy. I stand behind her with Andy facing me and he gives a thumbs up.

She pulls away and says "Well come in!" As she opens the door for us. As soon as I walk in I smell flowers which is weird. Before I was kicked out I always smelled smoke as soon as I walked in because of my dad. I actually really like the smell of flowers.

"Um where's dad?" I ask my mom. "Oh well after you left, I realized that I was wrong about you being gay. He didn't change his mind and since it was my house I kicked him out. I always regretted kicking you out after that. But now he's gone and your always welcome in my home" says my mom. I smile and nod.

Then I think about it I left when I was 15. (Dont know if that's right, I dont know if I mentioned it) Since my mom kicked my dad out after I left, shes been living alone for 3 years. I feel so bad, I need to visit her more often now. 

"Well since you guys are here, why dont you fill me in on some things? " my mom asks getting us some water. I look at Andy and shrug, "Okay" I say. We all go sit at the table and start talking. "So what are your guys tattoos?" My mom asks excitedly. Me and Andy show our tattoos and she smiles.

"Aw cute" she says giving Andy and I's hand a squeeze. "So where are you working Rye?" she question. "A starbucks near where I live" I respond. She nods. "So Ms. Beaumont-" Andy starts but gets cut off. "Please call me mom" she says then let's Andy go on.

Andy nods then says "Okay, mom what was Rye like when he was smaller?" He finishes giving me a smirk. "Oh he was a trouble maker. Always getting into things, he screamed a lot. He always used to bite people but he was still cute" my mom says squeezing my cheek.

Andy laughs while I say "Mom!" And try to get away from her hand. "I didn't think I was so bad" i say. "Well obviously you were" says Andy. (Well obviously you did, odds1out anyone? No okay)

I start to drink my water when my mom asks, "So when am I getting grandkids?"

I'm  back, finally got a new phone so yeah I'll be updating more! Sorry this is so short, I really just wanted to get a chapter out.

Q - What are you currently doing?

A - Currently I'm watching Angel's play since it's the last game of thr season.
