As I wake up, I walk over to the porch outside my bedroom. I look out and watch the radiant sunrise, the way the sun's light reflects off of the clouds and an explosion of colors occurs. Orange, purple, red, blue. It's the most wonderful thing I've ever seen.
In an instant the moment is gone. I here heavy footsteps and clattering in the kitchen down stairs. I walk out of my bedroom and tiptoe my way down stairs. I see a tall strong man or......could be what seems like, a teenage boy? Suddenly I'm uncomfortable in my thin, spaghetti strapped tank top and pajama sweat pants. Mostly the tank top.
I walk down to try and get a closer look. He's look in through the food cabinets, could he be homeless and hungry? The thought leave my mind as fast as it enters. This boy is surely not homeless. He's much too strong and sexy. What am I thinking! He just broke into my house. He looks at pictures around him picking them up and looking closely as if inspecting something.
"Hi there," he says snapping me out of my thoughts and making me jump in surprise.
"Who are you?" I ask genuinely curious. Though I know I should be asking what he is doing in my house at five thirty in the morning. "And what are you doing here?" I add.
"I'm Hunter and you must be Kristina" he states as if it's the surest thing in the world ignoring my second question. How does he know my name?
"Actually I'm Katie" I shoot back felling the need to prove him wrong for some odd reason.
"Well Katy" he starts before I cut him off.
"Katie!" I correct not liking him vary much at all. He must not be one for first impressions.
"Whatever," he says clearly annoyed,"Your coming with me!" he demands.
"No, I'm not!" I refuse. This guy breaks into my house at five thirty in the morning, is being rude and expects me to do what he says? That's not going to cut it.
"Yes you are!" he moves closer and I try to run to the front door, but just as I pull the door open he's standing on the other side.
