Imagine having a migraine (or other malady that makes you crave darkness, silence, and sleep) and James popping in to check on you every so often. He'd be quiet as a church mouse as he enters the room. Smoothing a hand over your back, he'd lean down to murmur your name. "Dearest, are you alright? Do you need anything?"
He'd be more than willing to stay with you as he massages your scalp. If it's a somewhat common occurrence, he'd know where all your pills are. "Here, sit up for a moment, darling, I've brought you some medicine and water." When you thank him, he'd just give an indulgent smile and brush your hair back. "You just focus on feeling better, darling. If you need anything, all you have to do is say my name."
