The first thing Marina thought when she woke up was why. She had definitely taken enough pills to kill herself, hadn't she? "Maybe a nurse found me or something before it was too late," she thought. The next thing she thought about was where she was. She assumed she would be back in the hospital, but looking at her surroundings she realized she was anywhere but. As she became more conscious, she notice that she was alone, on a dark beach surrounded by a forest behind her. "Arizona doesn't have any beaches, or forests for that matter. Where am I?" she wondered. Standing up, still scared, she decided to wander around this strange land she had found herself on. Walking the edge of the forest, Marina let her mind wander. "Where am I? Why am I here? Who brought me here? How am I still alive? Is anyone else here?" Come to think of it, Marina didn't even know if she was still in America, on a beach, or on an island. Still, she continued along her invisible path wandering around, kicking shells, rocks, and pieces of driftwood every now and then. Before she knew it, the sun had set and it was becoming colder. As she shivered lightly, she wondered how long she could survive here on her own. She could try fishing, or maybe hunting if there were any animals in the forest. She quickly realized, however, how challenging surviving in this place was going to be. she had no fishing materials, hunting materials, and no matter how hard she tried, could not start a fire. Out of frustration, she let out a long, loud scream.

In a matter of minutes, a group of teenage boys all migrated away from the trees of the forest and out into the open. Marina's breath got caught in her throat. "Who are these people? Do they live here?" She slowly began to back up, away from this group of boys she had stumbled upon.

"Don't leave just yet, love," a male British voice spoke from the crowd. Marina didn't know what to do. She was feeling highly vulnerable and intimidated, and couldn't spot a way out from the group of boys surrounding her.

"What's the matter? Scared?" She heard the voice speak again. A soft group of chuckles emerged from the boys' mouths.

"Who... who are you?" Marina barely spoke once she found her voice.

"Oh, did I forget to introduce myself?" the male spoke again, this time he moved out of the crowd and showed himself.

The boy couldn't have been older than 18. he had mousy brown hair swept to the right side, and he was about 5'9. he wore strange clothes; a dark green shirt, similar pants, and long boots. No one from 2014 would wear that. Come to think of it, all these boys wore strange clothes.

"I'm Peter; Peter Pan," the boy spoke proudly.

"Huh, that's a strange name," Marina said out loud. She immediately went wide-eyed and slapped her hand over her mouth. The boy, this "Peter Pan" character, simply chuckled.

"You think my name is strange? What's yours, then?"

"My name? Marina. Marina... DeSande." She spoke courageously.

"Is it then? Alright then; boys, let's introduce Marina to the island," he said, obtaining a deadly smirk.

She guess he must've seen her eyes get wide, or maybe he's psychic (or maybe both?), because then he said, "oh come now, Marina, we don't bite! Do we, boys?" "Peter Pan" turned his back to her and faced the group of boys who began to grimly chuckle amongst each other.

"It's fine, I'd really rather not," Marina spoke, becoming more terrified of this group my the minute.

"I don't think you understand what I said, Marina," he spoke, darker this time, "I rule this island," (so it's an island, she thought,) "and what I say goes. And I say that you are to come back to camp with the Lost Boys and I. You really don't have a say in the matter."

Then another boy emerged from the group. He was tall, very tall, and had wispy blonde hair. He also had a long scar across one side of his face. The boy carried a large club, and for a while she was afraid he was going to hit her with it.

"Don't worry, I won't waste this on you," the blonde boy spoke when he saw her eyeing it.

"Thank heavens," she thought to herself. However, the boy did immediately step behind her and proceeded to tie her wrists together. She became frightened.

"Can I ask what you're doing there?" she questioned the tall boy, attempting to hide the fear in her voice.

"Well, we certainly can't have our... lovely, guest of honor wandering off and becoming lost, now could we?" Peter Pan spoke, quite closely to her ear this time.

"You're quite the frail one," the blonde commented, emerging from behind her once he had finished tying her up. "You seem like you're a bit too small for a girl like you."

She didn't know how to react; no one had talked to her about her disorder in what felt like forever. What would she tell them? She barely knew any of these people, and they scared her quite frankly. Should she tell them about her past so soon? She didn't have time to make up her mind before Peter Pan spoke again.
"Do you have an explanation for that, Marina?" he asked.
"I'd really rather not talk about it." she told them. He looked at her in a confusing manner, but if she'd have known any better, she would say he looked at her appreciatively.

"You are quite a riddle, love. I can't wait to figure you out."

author's note: Hey guys! sorry this was so short and took me forever, I've been really tied up with trying to balance homework, drama, getting ready for Halloween, and lately I've started to feel depressed/suicidal. So if I stop updating for a while, the reason is probably up there^^^. Anyways, I love you guys, please tell my what you think!

(P.S. I added "Lost Boy" by 5SOS because, ya know, 5SOS (plus how appropriate for a story about Peter Pan???)
